For the product to remain stuck to the surface, the surface has to be clean and dry first. I'm buying another one for our pantry cabinet. The one which we have attached to the silverware drawer works great, and keeps our toddler away from the knives.

We use this to keep our toddler out of a drawer in the bathroom vanity. It works great, and is easy to install. I would definitely recommend it.

The strap is easily adjusted to the length you need it in order to achieve a secure fit. If the surface is cleaned properly prior to installation the ends stay securely in place. I can easily open them, but it seems my 2.5 y.o. still cannot. He seems to understand the concept of how to open it, but does not have the coordination or dexterity to accomplish it. The appearance is fairly neutral. It did not give this product 5 stars because I'm not sure if the paint will be damaged upon removal.

So far it keeps our 2.5yo out of the computer desk. Easy to open. Concerned about the glue that holds it to the surface; hopefully it won't cause damage when we take it off in a few years.

Glue doesn't last so it comes apart. We had several of these. On all of them the glue pads failed within 2-3 months. With better glue the latch part works fine.

I used this product to baby proof the millions of cabinets I have in my apartment (bathroom and kitchen) plus the oven. Only one of the adhesive backings came loose, but the rest stayed on perfectly. Easy to unlock for adults, but impossible for toddlers (so far, at least--my baby is 16 months). Added Bonus: Didn't pull off the paint from my cabinets when I had to remove them.

Perfect for drawers, cabinets, and fridge. My son is very tough, but these little things work great. I ordered adhesive locks of every kind offered on this site, and this was definitely the keeper. I like that they are small, not bulky, and can be manuevered for most any area/job. Very easy to apply, and I like the way they release, quickly and smooth.

We are using this on a corner double hinged door cabinet. A weird place where the standard cabinet locks will not work.
Also on our fridge where two different fridge locks wouldn't work.
Have been using this product for a year now and our twin 24 month olds cannot break in the cabinet or fridge unless we forget to lock it back up.!
Only con is every once in a while we forget these things are proofed and we pull super hard and rip it off.
Just ordered another for a low armour double door they just learned to pull open.
This product works for the weird places that are hard to babyproof. A good buy.

I just got these straps to use on my daughter's dresser drawers. The concept is great but the adhesive is terrible. They've already seperated from the dresser and my daughter has even put them to any sort of stress test.

This is a bad product. I want to return this, but it is now stick on the cabinet. I am worry taking it off will damage the cabinet. The strap is too short. And it keep coming out from the side that is suppost to clip close. Worse product ever.

I have a 19 month boy. I use the strap on drawers, cabinets and places where we need to access often. The open and close feature is pretty easy to operate. It's a good alternative if you don't want to drill holes into your cabinets. My child is pretty strong so he was able to rip the adhesive off from pulling on the strap while fastened. Overall, it works well for its purpose.

This product is a decent safety lock for infants and young toddlers. Unfortunately I have to replace it pretty often as the strap breaks on drawers that I open frequently. Plus my toddler is pretty strong and has pulled a couple locks from the adhesive. Recommended, but if you can find a stronger lock, go for it.
