This costume is so cute but it's enormous. I made the mistake of reading the customer reviews AFTER I ordered this. I was disappointed since I ordered the Luke Skywalker costume for my son to go with this. I ordered the 0-6 month size and my daughter is 3 months old. She is only 10 pounds but there is no way the hat for this costume could possibly fit any baby. It fits my 5 year old son and he has a huge head. The robe is too big as well but not to the extreme extent that the hat is. I am returning this costume and ordered a different one. I'm not a seamstress and don't feel like making this into a huge project just to get a cute picture.

After returning the 6-12 month size for my 7 month old I am now returning the "newborn" size. Both sizes are so large they would only fit a 2 year old. While this costume is really cute, it will not fit your baby unless you gave birth to a giant. My daughter wears 9 month clothes and is not small by any means, these costumes just wont fit a baby. :(

If I decide to keep this I am going to have a project... the hat fits my adult head nevermind my 8 month old... so in order for her to wear it I would have to put the buns on a headband or take in the back of the cap. The dress is made of cheap felt and is more for the size of a 2 year old so I will have to take that in and hem it as well. If my husband wasnt so dead set on our baby being princess Leia for Halloween I would return it.

This is my daughter's first Halloween and my husband and I thought it would be cute to have her dress up as Princess Leia and my husband would be Darth Vader (yes, we're big dorks)- found this costume, bought it, and tried it on her- it really is as cute as it looks BUT the head piece is HUGE! HUGE! The dress is a bit bigger than I thought it would be and the belt is really small! The Velcro in the back isn't enough, I'm buying more to close it up. I got the 6-12 month size (my daughter will be 10 months right before Halloween), and she's "tall and skinny" for her age- So big, big head piece, nice size dress, super small belt and not enough Velcro in the back. But it's super cute once you work with it a bit.
