We also struggled to get these on my daughter's feet like the other reviewer, but quickly realized that there was crumpled paper filling jammed deep into the toes of the shoe! Once we extracted the paper filling the shoes have been easy to put on and take off. The only thing that I don't like about these shoes is that if your child jumps into a big puddle in the rain, water will seep into the sides of the shoes (where you velcro it together). However, if your child steers clear of deep water puddles, his feet should stay dry!

We also struggled to put these rainboots on our daughter like the other reviewer, but quickly realized that there was crumpled paper filling in the toes! Once we extracted the paper from the toes, they fit her feet with no problem and are very easy to slip on and off. The only thing I don't like is that if your child jumps into a big puddle, the water seeps into the boot (through the sides of the shoe which you velcro). However, if your child steers clear of jumping into deep puddles, their feet should stay dry.

The pair we ordered were exactly the right size for our son -- and the shoe portion is clearly the right size for his foot -- but we couldn't get the boot to slip on/over his heel no matter how hard two adults tried. Maybe the ankle was too stiff? In any event, this was a real shame because the shoes look adorable and I'm sure if we could get them on would have been great play-in-the-rain shoes.
