Wow this gate is jankity and not solid. It might be good for keeping a small dog or cat in or out. I would not use this for a baby. The construction is not good. Very rickety. We have an active crawler and it was not good for her to pull herself up with. Kept worrying she would pull it out of the wall. Just spend the money and get a better one, that's what we did. We returned this ASAP.

Quality wise, it was okay. Seemed heavy and I played with the installation. I am sure it would have been sturdy. My problem is that while I have a wide opening (48"), this does NOT fit it. It has 2 extensions with the kit. One is 8" and the other is 15". I had to use both. Just using the 15 is not enough, but using the 8" as well is too big because the pressure mounts add an extra inch! They should tell you this BEFORE you buy it. Buyer, make sure you take this into account. I am returning this tomorrow.

Just like another review I was unable to open the gates once they were installed to the proper tension for fit. I will be sending them back on Monday morning.

This gate is amazing. I have had it for over a month now and it still is working great. I first researched this gate on other sites and found that it has great reviews and feedback from other Mom's. I need a gate that would fit my 44 inch door way but I did not want to holes in my walls. This gate is a pressure mount which means I didn't have to put any holes in my doorway...Perfect! I also, liked that the gate went to 52 inches wide without buying extra extension kits. I took the gate out of the box and within 10 min it was set up ready to go. I also have taken it out of the door way several times and moved it in different door ways in my house...super easy. The real test was see if it could with stand my daughter pulling on it and my dog jumping up on it....No problems there. It may have moved a fraction of an inch but not an issue. It has a safety locking feature that allows me to leave the room and know that my daughter has no chance of getting out. Best of all the price is about half of all the other gates on the market. I have already recommended this to my friends and am going to buy another.

After looking for a walk through gate that would fit my wide opening I found this one! It arrived quickly, was very easy to set up, has a one touch release handle which makes it very easy to open when carrying groceries. Also, the price was almost half of all of the other walk through gates. Overall it does the job at an affordable price. I have already recommended this to all of my friends.

Very disappointed on so many levels. After reading positive reviews from other sites I thought these gates (I bought two) would be just the ticket for a couple of 48" doorways we have in our home.

However, these gates failed on every level. Unpacking they felt cheap and flimsy and were not very aesthetically pleasing. The install was fairly easy but in order for the gates to be stable you really had to crank on the adjustable pressure mounts to secure the gate. Once the gate was "secure" it was still way too easy to shake the gate loose (our 9 month old who loves to shake things when he pulls himself up would have these out of the door frame in no time). And once installed with enough pressure to secure the gate, it was too tight for the gate to even be opened.

Thank goodness for diapers.com great customer service because these things are getting returned immediately. Save yourself the shipping time and just spend a little more to get a better gate that works from the get-go.
