Proportions are wrong

By Mom

from Utah

Comments about Retro Rocket:

This rocket is too short and too wide. For quite a while my son was not able to reach the floor with his feet because the seat is so wide, but now that he can reach the floor and scoot himself the seat is too low, his knees are above the seat height. My son typically ends up pushing this around rather than riding it. For a little while he would lay on it with his legs up on the fins and have us push him around but he has grown to big for that now.

We received this rocket for my daughter's first birthday. We love it but my daughter is terrified of it. We have had it sitting out so she will get used to it and the noises but 1 month later, my daughter still shows no interest in it and when I try to put her on the rocket, she screams. Oh well. May be fun for other toddlers, but not mine- not yet anyway.

Retro Rocket stands the test of time

Comments about Radio Flyer Retro Rocket:

My oldest son received this as a Christmas present when he was 10 months old and this toy has never sat idle for very long in our house. He is now 4 and has a 2 yr old brother. It is mainly used by my youngest now, but every once in a while I find them having a race through the house on the ride on toys and my oldest is always on the rocket. I realize it is a little on the small side but it is durable. I always find the strangest items stored in the seat.

My 10 month old got this toy and he loves it. Of course he is too small to push himself but I put him on it and he holds on tight and lifts up his feet and I push him around. He loves it. He would stay on it all day if he could!

        1st Radio Flyer

My son received this for his first bday and really loves being pushed around on it with assistance. Mostly he likes pushing the buttons and pushing it around the house. I agree w/ the seat compartment comments, he gets mad that he can't open it himself but I'm sure when he's bigger (he's 13 months) he'll get the hang of it. Very fun toy!

        Tons of FUN!

Comments about Radio Flyer Retro Rocket:

We bought this for my son, Aidan, for his first birthday and he continues to enjoy it. Although he still doesn't sit and push along on it (he's now 14 mos), he is able to safely seat himself and has little difficulty dismounting. Aidan enjoys pressing the buttons and especially likes to make the rocket shake/vibrate. He was a bit frustrated trying to open the seat compartment but after some help and constant encouragement, Aidan now can do it all by himself! I think it needs a better "lip" for little fingers. We have used it only indoors at this point but it looks like it would do well outdoors too. This was a great buy and definitely worth the buck as he will continue to get use out of it!

My daughter recieved this before she could even realize what toys are, now at 8mos. she has to sit on it and zoom around the living room (I push her of course). It's great, to see her get so excited she tries to move with her legs and they can't quiet grip the ground yet!

My parents gave this to my daughter for her first birthday. She was all over it immediately! She has loved it and still plays with it often even 8 months later. I would recommend it to anyone with a 10-24 month old.

Not a favorite with my son

Comments about Radio Flyer Retro Rocket:

My son got this rocket for his 1st birthday. It was hard to assemble. It's bulky and doesn't stare. The first time my son tried to use it- the noise of the blastoff-vibrating button scared him and now he doesn't want to come near the thing. So the rocket just sits in the corner...

Comments about Radio Flyer Retro Rocket:

I bought this for my son when he was 6 months (I really liked it). At first he was sacred by the noises it made (especially the vibration), but each day he got a little more inquisitive and by 7 months, it was his favorite toy. The only downside is that I get tired of pushing him around on it.

We got this for my 7 mos. old son for Christmas. We didn't know if he was too young for it...but he loved it from the get go. He's pretty big for his age but we had to push him around on it the first 4-5 months (wood floors make this task a lot easier!). He loves it even more now! Fun Toy!

My son received this as a gift when he was 9 months old, he LOVES it. He pushes it everywhere. I really feel it has helped with his abilty to start walking. He is taking steps now at 11 months. He plays with this toy more than any toy he has received.
