Ergo Baby Carrier - Camel

Using the ERGObaby carrier gives you continuous connection, fabulous feeling of freedom, and security knowing your baby is safe. This is the all-in-one soft baby carrier, assisting you through all the stages of your baby's growth and moving from front to hip to back position easily. Parents say that the ERGObaby carrier is the best of all the baby carriers on the market. It was designed by Karin Frost and has undergone extensive testing by tens of thousands of parents. Its innovative design makes wearing your baby comfortable for hours at a time, gives you the freedom to remain active and productive in your daily life, and holds your baby secure to your body so you are HandsFree. The ERGObaby carrier's ergonomic design supports a correct sitting position for the baby's hip, pelvis and spine growth. It disperses most of the baby's weight between the hips and thighs, which helps to eliminate compression of the spine when hanging by the crotch, that most other designs require. The ERGObaby also balances the baby's weight to parents' hips and shoulders, and alleviates physical stress for the parent.

      Comments about Carrier - Camel:

Our daughter had really bad colic as a newborn. As a result she loved to be comforted by touch and to be carried around to be settled. I was exhausted physically. I researched for many many hours trying to find a carrier for her. I needed something easy as I was home alone during the day so there was no 2nd person to help me with getting her in the carrier and then safely on me. This carrier is perfect! It holds her knees above her hips, which is more comfortable for her and prevents hip displasia. It is also super easy to put on. Very adjustable too - I'm small (5 foot 4" & 117lbs) and it can easily fit me or my hudband (6 foot 4", 190lbs). The insert is okay - although I preferred to use a wrapped up towel instead. The padded shoulder pads are good - bulky too, but that is not too bothersome. I would highly recommend this carrier.

        Comments about Carrier - Black/Camel:

If only Ergo would make a twin carrier! We have two Ergo baby carriers for our twins. We use them every day, sometimes all day. It is sturdy and the materials are substantial and easy to clean. These are great for all types of outings and the canopies kept grimy hands from touching our babies during cold and flu season. My only negative thought about this carrier is that the insert we purchased separately was quickly outgrown (before our babies are old enough to ride with their legs straddled). It is easy to put on and reconfigure. I wear one twin on my back and one up front to get chores accomplished and they are so content when riding in their Ergos!!

          Comments about Carrier - Camel:

I ordered this carrier because I was using a wrap which was a pain in the butt to put on when I needed it; when a baby is screaming bloody murder its really hard to concentrate sometimes. This carrier is easy as can be! There are very thorough instructions both included and online. I have taken 3 mile hikes with my boy on my front and back, and it's great for soothing him when I'm trying to get other things done. Buy it, do it!!

            Comments about Carrier - Camel:

This is the 3rd carrier that my husband and I have tried. We both have bad backs. This carrier really distributes the weight to your hips, not shoulders. I hiked with it yesterday for the 1st time. When I came home my back, neck & shoulders felt fine. This is the only carrier I've tried that I can say that about. It's totally worth the money.

              Comments about Carrier - Black/Camel:

I bought this when I was 7 months pregnant with the insert and it's all overa great carrier!

I bought the newborn insert which did cause a bit of overheating but we were in Texas in May so it's to be expected.. But he is 3 months old now and I love this thing for everything really..

Shopping, cleaning, fussy days, walking around base, sleeping, when he wants to be cuddled, etc.

Easy to put on, easy to take off when they are sleeping which is great!! I have recommended this to everyone!!

We put it through the ultimate test a month ago we had to fly on a 9 hour flight from Houston to London and it made the trip absolutely perfect, he slept the whole time and it is comfortable to sit with (I am 5' 2") so it's great to travel with!!

              Comments about Carrier - Black/Camel:

I purchased this carrier when my little one was just a few weeks old along with the infant insert. The product has been great. It is easy to put on when I'm by myself. I set up the straps once and they have not moved. And the front pocket and hood have both come in handy. There are a few downsides though. One, it is difficult to carry a bag while using this carrier because the straps are wide and thick. The diaper bag was constantly falling off my shoulder. I took this carrier with me on a long hike and it did not breath very well so my little one quickly overheated and I ended up having to carry her for about half the time. My the time I got home from the 4 hour hike my shoulders and lower back were very sore (not sure if that was from the carrier or from not being able to use the carrier). And lastly, she is now 5 months old and wants to look around and face out which isn't recommended with this carrier so I am buying another one. It feels like I wasted my money.

                Comments about Carrier - Black/Camel:

I love this carrier! I have tried several other carriers (snugli, evenflo, and a moby wrap), and none were as great overall as the ergobaby. It takes just one or two times of using it for both my baby and I to be totally comfortable with it. I use it everywhere- at home doing the dishes, doing paperwork, working on the computer, shopping, and even in church. I wish it were a little more comfortable to sit in it-- I have a short torso, so I know that I wear it lower than some (I'm 5'5 and I wear it more on my hips). My husband wears it too-- he's 6'4, so on him it rides a bit higher, so he can sit easier. I especially love it for shopping- it's so much better than carrying the carseat in the cart (there's no room for anything else!) And it's super easy to get on and off. I love this product- I may get a second when we have our next child!
