CPSC is warning parents and caregivers who own these products that infants and toddlers are at risk of serious injury or death due to strangulation and entrapment hazards presented by these products. Tots in Mind recalled the play yard tents in July 2010 and offered a repair kit that is no longer available. The company is no longer in business and has stopped all sales.

This works well on all of our cribs which are sleigh and standard. It keeps them in their beds and they actually don't like being in them with out the tent zipped up.

            Comments about Crib Tent II:

It worked great at first but then at the age of 18 months my daughter started to make holes in the net with her fingers. Last night I went in to check on her and she had stuck her finger in one of these holes she had made and her finger was red and swallen. If I had not walked in she could have lost her finger because the circulation was cut off by the thread. I am not sure if there is a way to fix that problem (I tried sewing the holes but that has not worked for long either). I am not sure that I can take the chance of using this product any more.

I read a few other reviews saying this couldn't be used with a convertible crib.... but I decided to buy it anyway to see if I could "modify" it a little and use it anyway. You can use it with a convertible crib if you don't secure the rear velcro straps made for the rear rail (which a conv. crib doesn't have). Just make sure the front rail and sides are very secure and the matress is sitting inside the tent mesh and still touching the crib spring/frame. If all else fits well and is secure... you should be fine.

              Comments about Crib Tent II:

We use this to keep the cat out of our baby's crib. It works really well for that. But we have a crib that turns into a full size bed frame and it has thick railings on it. This does not fit well on it. We do not zip it up at night because we close the bedroom door. But when she's not in it and the door is open it does keep that cat out of her bed. But now that she's standing It'll be easier for her to pull it downward as it's not stable on the sides of the crib and can be pulled down. We'll keep it up until it becomes and issue but know that if you have a crib with thick railings, it's not the best fit and you kind of have to get creative on how you put it up.

                Comments about Crib Tent II:

We bought this crib tent when our son (who is now 2 yrs) started climbing out of his crib a few months ago. We found out the hard way that he wasn't ready to be in a toddler bed, and still is not, but he LOVES the crib tent! He watched us set it up and we told him it was his own special tent, like camping. He couldn't wait to get into his bed and now he sleeps beautifully and securely all night and doesn't even try to get out. I sleep better at night as well knowing that he is safe in there.

The tent was a little hard to figure out and set up at first but with my husband's help, we were able to get it into the crib and secure it snugly. The only downside is that we have to pull the mattress out completely in order to change the sheets and try to stuff it back in afterwards. Thankfully, it's not as flimsy as we thought it would be. My son is a good gauge on quality like that as he tends to destroy something quickly, especially if it's cheaply made. And the zipper is hidden so he can't try to open it from the inside.

Otherwise, it's a wonderful product and has been a life saver for us and our son!

Works great, time consuming to put together. Must be careful not to rush can break thru cloth which holds some of the rods. I used this for 2 of my children and it was wonderful for peace of mind. I knew my children would be safe and no worries of suffocating either. Only reason not 5 stars because once "tent" on crib the side cannot be put down to get the child out.

We bought this tent because we were afraid our cat would get in the crib with the baby. It worked wonders for keeping the cat away when our son was a newborn. As he got older it kept him from crawling out of the bed, throwing out his toys etc. It works with the mattress at all heights and really looks pretty. The only issue is the zipper on ours is LOUD on one side.
