My twins go nuts for prunes. They love this flavor and it keeps them regular. It is a little runny but I add oatmeal to thicken it. The pouches make feeding on the go easy.

I have used this brand of prune puree / juice since my baby began solids. My daughter is now 13 month and I still routinely offer some at breakfast. My daughter has had issues with constipation since weaning and I have through trial and error managed to work out what constipated her and what's ok. These pouches though are a great help in keeping everything soft and moving. Prunes act as not only a mild stimulant but also as a softner. She would quite happily polish off a whole pouch but then as she began to explore new tastes and textures would only have a small amount. She's back now to almost a full pouch and i'm sure part of this is due to the fact she can now hold the packet herself. The flow is quite fast as the puree is thinner than others but as another reviewer states this is due to the way it is made. The fact it is without sugar and is organic way out ways any mess it can make. So until she turns her nose up or doesn't need the assistance the prunes provide I'll continue to buy these pouches.

While almost nothing sounds less appetizing to me than prunes, my toddler LOVES this stuff. She has tried other varieties and used to love the Blueberry Pear & Purple Carrot, but her auntie gave her one of these and she loves it. Now she asks for "auntie's squishy". I read another review here that complained of runniness and water being the first ingredient. That will always be the case with prunes. This is made from prunes, not a puree from fresh plums. So the prunes are taken and then cooked in water to re-hydrate and then puree. So having a certain amount of water that is not present in prunes is just how this works. I believe that the fiber is more concentrated in prunes than plums which is why prunes are used to help keep things--ahem!--regular.
I've tried other brands of baby food prunes and these are close in consistency. I buy these because they are organic and the package is great for independent toddlers and kids to hold and suck down on their own. Also portable and great for anyone wanting a little snack or a little boost.

After introducing a solid food at 6 months, my baby started to have a constipation and went from having a daily bowel movement to every 4,5 days. Giving her water, or exercising her legs (bicycle movement) did not help. Our pediatrician told us that while he would hold off on giving fruit juice for as long as possible, prune juice was an exception.

The Plum juice by Plum Organics was the only prune juice we could find that was organic and had no added sugar. We started giving .5oz of the prune juice twice a day and almost immediately our baby started having a regular B.M.

The ingredient list is just water and prunes. I do not mind that water is listed before the prunes, as the reason we are giving our baby the prune juice is to make sure she doesn't get constipated. It is runny, but then it is juice, and I can still feed my baby using her baby spoon. It doesn't get messy as long as I remember to keep each potion small enough to fit baby's mouth.

Overall, it is a great product that gives our baby a regular bowel movement the natural way.

In comparison to all other plum organics baby foods this prune variety is very runny and hard to feed. It also lists "water" first under the ingredients which is not the same as the other Just Fruit baby foods.
