I purchased these bottles when my LO outgrew the 4oz Playtex Drop-In bottles. We chose these because they have the exact same top (ring & nipple) as the drop-ins, so we didn't have to buy different tops, and baby was already used to the size/shape of the nipple. We started on this nipple when she was 3m old, and she was exclusively breastfed until 6m. This was the only bottle she would take, and we actually even had to start her out on the latex (as opposed to the silicone) nipples since they are more "skin-like". The Ventaire bottles come completely apart (top & bottom come off) and the wide top makes it really easy to clean. You do have to put the bottom of the bottle on only when it's completely dry, otherwise it won't seal properly and could leak. But as long as it's dry for assembly we never had a leak. These bottles go to daycare every day and take a beating, but still are in great shape after months. I recommend them!

Our baby is BF only, and took some milk in a bottle for practice starting at 2 weeks. He took the Dr. Browns bottles great until he was 2 months old, and then had a fit and wouldn't take ANY bottle. We finally came across these and they're great. We started with the slow nipple, then graduated to the medium. He takes them wonderfully with no gas. They're definitely worth a little extra work to clean the extra parts, but they come apart completely so its not that big of a deal. Baby is 6 months now and is taking 7 ounces of milk in this bottle with the fast flow nipple. Wouldn't use anything else!

These are my baby's favorite bottles. We've used them since she is 2 weeks old, advancing to this bigger size recently as she's hit 6 oz in a bottle. She LOVES the wider nipple. She is 4 months old and using the "medium flow" nipple. Be aware that these larger size bottles come with the fast nipple, so you'll need to purchase the medium flow seperately if your baby isn't ready for a fast flow. The nipples can be hard to find, so order them on diapers.com along with the bottles if you need them. These bottles have 4 pieces, including the tops, so they are not hard to wash. They are durable and have never leaked.
