These plates lasted a good 18 months or maybe even 2 years (who can remember) of nonstop use in and out of the dishwasher, but I just noticed the plastic coating has started to bubble and they need to be thrown out/replaced. The sides are raised, which helps keep food on the plate, so I'm about to order more. For [$]for a 2 pack and 2 years of constant use, I think that's all a fair deal. Just watch out for the bubbling, and because of that I definitely would never microwave these plates (or any plastic for that matter)
