I have purchased several straw sippy cups and these are the only ones that seem to work without leaking. They also hold more which is good as my little girl gets older. She used to not drink much water, but as soon as I purchased these she started drinking much more. I guess it's just easier for her to drink from, hold, etc.

Don't waste your money on fancier brands! Get these

My son still has the old Playtex straw cup, and wow, do I miss those! I bought this for my daughter, and it leaks! If you tighten it too much, it creates pressure and leaks out of the top of the straw, if you don't tighten it enough, it leaks out of the side. It is a no win situation! Playtex, you need to go back to your previous formula of straw cup!!

The cup leaks a little as do all straw sippy cups. The biggest problem is the short straw. It leaves about an ounce of milk in the bottom. A total waste. I will only use it for water.

Also, the straw is very hard to sip out of. I would not recommend this.

My daughter really likes this straw sippy cup. I didn't give it five stars because it will leak if you hold it upside down (while the lid is open with the straw exposed) and shake it. If the plastic piece is slid over the straw it will not leak. It's also easy to clean and easy to re-assemble if the straw comes out. My daughter is 14 months and has been able to easily handle and use this cup since she was about 8 months. Definitely recommend.

I bought these cups based on their glowing reviews, but I am very disappointed with them. Liquid spontaneously overflows through the top of the straw, resulting in a big mess every time my daughter tries to use one of them. I definitely do not recommend this product.

very good cup, except straw is too short. i had read similar comments elsewhere, so i was expecting it. i took a longer straw from playtex and cut it.

I ordered this product because my daughter loves drinking from a straw but the take and toss cup we were using would spill everywhere when she would toss it off her highchair. This has solved that problem and takes a beating every mealtime! We already lost one so I'm buying some more!

I don't know if they have changed how they've made sippy cups over the past few years, but it seems that the cups I use for my daughter leak far more frequently than anything I used for my son at this age, who is now 6.

That said, this is a nice cup & it doesn't leak profusely when tipped, but it does do something weird - if there is milk or water in the cup & it is left out for any period of time, the liquid oozes out the top & puddles in the straw reservoir, leaks down the sides & leaves a drippy mess.

This cup has been great for my daughter! I love that you don't have to work very hard to thread the straw through the top of the cup. It does leak sometimes IF you tighten it too hard. You can screw the top on without making it "click" and it's usually fine.

This is the best straw cup on the market. Don't waste your time or money on another brand. With my first child (6 years) I tried all kinds of sippy and straw cups when he was a baby. My son never took to sippy cups (too lazy to lift & tip the cup) but began using straw cups when he was a year old. After trying all the straw cups on the market at the time, we found that the Playtex brand had the best (easiest to clean and easiest to sip from). Fast-forward 5 years and I have a baby girl. When she turned 6 months, I was determined to introduce her to straw cups right from the start although I did try several types of sippy cups with her as well. She actualy took to the sippy cups as long as I held them and tipped them up for her to drink. I searched stores for the Playtex straw cups my son had used but could not find them anywhere. I saw the insulated ones, but I don't like those since I sometimes place the cup in a microwave. So I spent over $100 on different brands and types of straw cups. Munchkin brand came close with one which she seemed to like but when she began teething she all of the sudden refused to use them. They were hard to sip from and it hurt her gums.

NOW WE COME TO THIS CUP... Luckily, right at that time I noticed that Playtex had come out with this straw cup. I purchased it to try and sure enough, it was so much easier to sip from, I couldn't believe the difference! My baby girl immediately began using them and has been exclusively since she was 7 months old. The shape makes them easy for a young baby to hold.

Only two things I don't like about this cup, both of which are true for almost all straw cups... 1. Liquid sometimes gets pulled up the straw when not in use and can spill; 2. Straw has three parts to pull apart for cleaning. My solutions are that I don't "lock" the lid in to it's click position, which is not necessary anyway, and this keeps the liquid from being pulled up the straw. For cleaning, I pull the straw parts apart and just place them into the dishwasher basket. It's very easy to put back together unlike the Munchkin brand.

I recommended this cup to my Sister-In-Law who is a first-time mom. She wanted her 1 yo to drink from a straw cup but couldn't get her to do it. Once she tried one of these Playtex cups, she ran out and purchased 10 of them!
