we've used the Playtex sippy cups for awhile now, with great success, so when I found these the other day, I was excited to try them. I'm disappointed because the interior straw is too short and leaves too much drink and the entire mechanism "weeps". I guess pressure builds up and it comes out the top and leaks all over the place.

First Cup My son took to. Thought it was starting to LEAK, but i realized that the straw was pushed to far up and it was opening the seal that makes it leak proof.

My daughter started using this on her own at about 11 months and got the hang of it immediately -- I put away the bottles the same day. It is easy to put together and comfortable for the baby to hold. It can leak if you tighten it too much because the liquid creeps up the straw, but I will just take a little sip if that happens to clear the straw, and it solves the problem. I did need to buy a straw cleaner to clean the straws themselves well, but the cup is overall easy to clean, take apart, and put together. I love these.

My son took easily to this this cup when he didn't to the sippy cups. The only complaint is that the straw is too short and leaves milk (a little less than an ounce)at the bottom that can't be sucked up.

This is the Sippy that works best for us. My 13 months DD has been using them exclusively for about 5 months. They do not leak when filled with water. Strangely when I put milk in them, the milk comes up through the straw...must a a physics thing with the milks consistency...? we dont do juice yet so cant vouch for that...but imagine it wouldnt leak since juice is closer to water consistency.

cups worked great at first and then after about two months the straw pops open and will not stay closed. When the straw pops open they do not work. I would not recommend these cups.

I like these cups. I have not had any trouble with leaking. If needed, I will purchase more in the future. The straw does not touch the bottom, but I do not see that as a negative. That has not caused any with problems this cup. You can clearly see in the product image that it does not touch the bottom. I have a two other straw sippy cup styles and those straws do not go all the way to the bottom either. Perhaps there is a logical reason the straws to not touch the bottom of the cup? I do not know what that reason might be, but I am not an engineer! I like the cup and so does my little girl!

I have purchased many kinds of sippy cups for my almost two-year-old twins. I had to toss the Nuby cups since the valve is in the top part of the straw and is too easily destroyed by a little chewing, and got this cup as an alternative. I have the same two problems as others here have mentioned: Unless you leave the lid loosely closed, large amounts of liquid gets pushed up through the straw and leaks all over the place. Secondly, the straw is way too short which leads to a lot of waste plus frustration as my daughters can see there is milk in the cup and cannot get it out.

I don't have this problem with other cups, so I disagree with the reviewer who says that all sippy cups are like this. The Tommee Tippee cups, though harder to assemble, work much better but unfortunately they don't seem to sell them here.

I have purchased several straw sippy cups and these are the only ones that seem to work without leaking. They also hold more which is good as my little girl gets older. She used to not drink much water, but as soon as I purchased these she started drinking much more. I guess it's just easier for her to drink from, hold, etc.

Don't waste your money on fancier brands! Get these

My son still has the old Playtex straw cup, and wow, do I miss those! I bought this for my daughter, and it leaks! If you tighten it too much, it creates pressure and leaks out of the top of the straw, if you don't tighten it enough, it leaks out of the side. It is a no win situation! Playtex, you need to go back to your previous formula of straw cup!!

The cup leaks a little as do all straw sippy cups. The biggest problem is the short straw. It leaves about an ounce of milk in the bottom. A total waste. I will only use it for water.

Also, the straw is very hard to sip out of. I would not recommend this.

My daughter really likes this straw sippy cup. I didn't give it five stars because it will leak if you hold it upside down (while the lid is open with the straw exposed) and shake it. If the plastic piece is slid over the straw it will not leak. It's also easy to clean and easy to re-assemble if the straw comes out. My daughter is 14 months and has been able to easily handle and use this cup since she was about 8 months. Definitely recommend.
