Comments about Step Start Walk 'n Ride:

I have a very active 12 month old that walks and runs and plays with everything. She just walks by this toy and doesn't pay it that much attention. That my be due to the fact it does not have any sounds/music/no flashing lights. She may use it more when she gets old enough to use it a ride on toy.

Comments about Step Start Walk 'n Ride:

This is a great, versatile toy. My eight month old grandson loves to play with all the gadgets and ride on it while he gets pushed around. It rolls a little too fast on the tile to effectively assist him while learning to walk; but he still loves trying. Haha. My 18 month old niece plays with it too. She loves scooting around the house and especially loves hiding her treasures in the secret compartment. This toy should last a long time.

Comments about Step Start Walk 'n Ride:

I bought this for my 8 month son. He loves it. He is just learning to pull up and cruise. At first the toy would not support him pulling up on it, but now that he's stronger it supports him. He can take a few steps behind it but it still moves a little fast for him. All the little gadgets on it also entertain him and get his attention because they make clicking noises. I really like this walker.

I was hopeing that this would help my 9mo. old finish learning to walk. She can when holding on to anything other than this toy. Everytime that she tries it rolls out way to far in front of her and she can not keep up. She can not even pull herself up with it without it doing this. We have tried it on carpet and hard floors and it is the same on all of them, the only way she plays with it is as a rie on.

Comments about Step Start Walk 'n Ride:

We thought this would be great for our ten month old. She is standing, sometimes on her own, and cruising around the couch. She likes it, but the wheels don't work well when it's being used as a push toy on tile and our whole house is tile. It works fine when its used as a ride on, but she's still too young to use it that way. I think it would work perfectly if we had carpet. We still love it, just have to help her with it.

Comments about Step Start Walk 'n Ride:

I researched push toys like this extensively online, but ended up choosing this one mainly because of the price. My son has been walking for a couple of weeks and does push this around, but when he first began playing with it from a seated position, he discovered that the trunk lid is easily removeable. It snaps off with very little force (fortunately without breaking). This means that the whole toy looks broken and junky most of the time because as soon as I replace the part, he pulls it off again.

I am pleased with the stability of this toy. My son can pull to stand without it tipping. However, the wheels really race on carpet or wood floor, so it seems best for toddlers who are already quite stable walkers. The spinners on the front and the "gear shift" seem very enticing, but he cannot turn the snapping yellow wheel. It requires too much dexterity and hand strength.

A friend of mine loaned this to me for my twin girls, and it's awesome! It converts from a ride-on to a push/walking toy, and my 15 month olds love it both ways (they are slow to learn to walk, so it would probably be great for younger kids too). It's stable when they are walking and is pretty compact, so it doesn't take up too much space. It's definitely a hit with my little ones.
