I hesitated writing a review b/c quite honestly, my daughter hasn't played with it yet. She has a plastic FP "My 1st Dollhouse" that she plays with often and has showed little interest in this one since she got it a few days ago. She says she likes it, but she's very set in her ways. I, on the other hand, wanted a wooden alternative so we could possibly phase out the plastic and so we could carry this one up & down stairs or to place on the kitchen table for her to play while I make dinner, etc. This is made out of the new Plan-wood and not their usual rubber tree wood. Plan Wood is made out of the sawdust created when making their wooden toys. I don't think it looked or felt like plastic like the other reviewer indicated but it didn't have that warm wood feel you may be looking for when you invest in a Plan Toys product. There are 3 floors as shown in the photo, but they're narrow - it would've been nicer to only be 2 floors. The playmat is fantastic to create outdoor room space or to cover and carry the piece from room to room. The furniture pieces are cute and functional (the oven door and fridge door open!) I love the people - they are so cute BUT they are a different size than any other Plan Toys people so this set won't work with anything else. The plan city people are smaller, the regular dollhouse people are larger and the people with this set are somewhere in between and are a completely different style. I wish this set came with a child or baby. I think the dollhouse would appeal to my 3 yr old more if it came with a baby, which is why she loves her FP dollhouse so much! Another thing to mention, the toy people look like a middle aged couple, which I think is cute b/c they look more like DH & I than the cute little figures in the FP dollhouse do...lol. My DH thought assembly was straightforward and simple - took about 10-15 minutes. We both love Plan Toys philosophy eco-friendly toys. Overall, this is a super cute dollhouse but unfortunately momma likes it much more than my 3 yr old does. I should mention that her 2 yr old cousin spent the day here yesterday and played with this all day long so it does appeal to children and not just momma :-)
