I didn't buy this toy from this website, but when I saw there was only one negative review here, I felt I should give my take on it. We have had this drumset for about six months now, first purchasing it when my daughter was about six months olds. She was and still is in the 50th percentile for size for her age, and the drums are not too short for her--in fact she has the best angle on them when she is sitting on the babybjorn little potty (weird as that sounds, it is the ideal size for a drumkit stool). Can your kid take it apart? Yes, definitely, and that's probably how they'll spend a good deal of their time playing with it at first. But flimsy isn't the word for it--flexible is. I've been really pleased by how well it has held up, and my daughter has recently really gotten good at using it for what it is--a rockin' drumset. I think we'll have it for a long time. It's attractive and well-made, and makes me want to buy other toys by this brand.

This product is not tall enough for nine month olds sitting up. The drums kept falling apart and really frustrated my son. By the end of the day, the drum was in pieces and we bought our son a real drumset...he'll grow into it.
