We have been using ours for a year and a half, and it has never had a problem. Great battery life. We went on vacation and forgot the charger for the remote unit, and then sent us a new charger for free. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I would HIGHLY recommend this. See my other product recommendations as well. We have purchased many different monitors and found the best!

We have a large backyard and the monitor worked well in most of it. It is a two-way which is also good. It is sound-activated but the sensitivity is not good. My son would make noise but the monitor would not turn on. Also the volume can't be turned up high enough. We had to replace the base because the wire in the cord no longer connected and so the device wasn't getting electricity. Now the parent part doesn't charge. I tried to find a replacement battery online but couldn't - not even through Phillips. I also tried to get through to customer service several times to get a replacement and could never get a live person - so frustrating.

I live in a single level 4000sqft home. My baby is on the opposite end of the house. I purchased the Sony Baby Call (which worked perfectly for my 2300sqft home with my other two kids) and it would not stay in range and would beep all the time. I then purchased the Graco with the maximum footage I could find (2K) and it did the same thing. The Avent is the BEST and I have had NO problems with range or clarity. I would recommend this for any home and purpose. I could only find it online. Absolutely LOVE this monitor!

I actually bought two of these monitors, one for the downstairs, and one for the upstairs, because the first one worked so well. I have never had any interference between the two monitors or with any of my electrical equipment. The range is fantastic. We have an acre property and always have reception no matter where I am on the property. I have found that you have to play with the sensitivity buttons to make sure you get it where you want it. I have also dropped the receiver multiple times (falls out of my pocket) but it still works great. The receiver is also rather small.

The monitor stopped working after about 5 months of normal use. On/off button non-functional. When it was working, it was fine. Supposedly has a 2 year warranty but when I called customer service, they said they could replace the product...in up to 30 days. Same item on backorder. They wouldn't let me pay the difference to have the next model up (which was in stock) sent. They didn't seem to think it was problematic to ask a mother to go a month without a baby monitor for her infant. They also claimed they were completely unable to check with their supplier to see when the replacement monitor might be available. VERY disappointed w/ the customer service. So essentially, even though this item has a two year warranty, I'm going to have to pay to buy a new one after 5 months. Spare yourself the potential headache and don't buy avent products.

This baby monitor is fantastic. It is clear as a bell and it truly has no interference with other electronic devices. I have another baby monitor in use for my other child and they do not interfere at all. This one, however, is far superior in clarity and range. I highly recommend this monitor to parents who need to add another monitor for a second child.
