My son loved these books from 3 mo in 12 months and I give them as gifts to all of my friends expecting their first baby. It's lightweight, easy to stuff in a purse, and not too noisy for a plane ride or restaurant.

My 6mo son likes to touch and pull the tails in different shapes and textures. I don't like the music very much because it's electronic and high-pitch.

My son is now 8 months old and hasn't tired of this book. The various textures of tails, cute barking noise, great durability, and fun crinkly pages make for a happy kid. We now have two Jellycat "tails" books, so there is always one in the house and one in the diaper bag for when we're out and about. These books are now my "go to" baby gift and I always get huge thank yous!
