Comments about Primo Viaggio - Nero:

This is my first car seat for my first baby, so I don't have much to compare it to. Nice looking car seat, very trendy in the all black. My baby looked very small in it at birth and he was 7.7 lbs. He is now 4 months and fits in it much better. My biggest complaint is the angle the carseat sits at, he has always been almost sitting upright and it looks very uncomfortable. The store said its bc of my seat, so I adjusted the base with a pool noodle as they suggested and he still sits almos straight up! Also, it is VERY heavy. He is 15 pounds and I can barely carry him in his car seat anymore, I had a friend who bought a cheaper carseat and she carries him in it all day long. Maybe this seat is safer and thus heavier? All in all I am happy with it!

        Comments about Primo Viaggio Myrto:

I agree with another post that this seat is too small. The protective wings around the head sit too low, and the seat is too narrow around the shoulders. My first child was average size, but a winter baby, and by the time she was 9 months and had to wear bulkier winter clothes, she could barely fit in. My second child was bigger than average, and she was "squeezed" in the car seat by 6 months old. I cannot imagine a child can grow to 30 in / 30 lb and still fit in it. Also, I think the angle of the incline of the seat is a bit too high for a baby. We rented other car seats for our rental cars and I noticed that the kids looked a lot more comfortable and reclined in them. Bottom line, after the first 3 months, it can quickly become uncomfortable, and in my case, by 9 months, it was almost unusable. For full disclosure, I did get a lot of use out of the seat in the first 3 months, also using it for walks with a stroller adjuster, but unless you are willing to buy two different seats for the different stages of the first year, this does NOT work.

My baby didnt fit under padded safety wings anymore when He turned 3 months even on the highest setting. We were really dissapointed with our purchase. It is beautiful and made out of a great material and He never sweated in it for sure(other carseats usually has that problem). My husband cut the safety wings so we could safely use it even after 3 months of age but He outgrew it at 7 months anyway.I wish to see that 30 inches and 30 pounds baby who still fits into it.Huge dissapointment,we wasted [$] on a horrible carseat.
