Comments about Prima Pappa Best - Paloma:

i've had this highchair (in paloma) for almost three years now. i got it when my baby was about 5 months and she was tiny in it, but i just tilted the seat back so she wouldn't slump. here's what i love:

-recline. definitely helped when i was feeding my baby slushy cereal. went right in her mouth.

-the wheels. i have mostly hardwood floors and this didn't scratch at all. furthermore, they're quiet. in fact, my daughter would push the chair around the house when she was learning to walk.

      -tray cleans easily

-three chair height options. i could sit at the table, a low stool or even on the floor to feed my baby. i don't know if the third adjustable height (floor height) was intentional. i lowered the chair height one day and the chair just slid all the way down. we have two of these high chairs and only one does that. weird, but very helpful because if i had to sit close to the ground to do something, i could be eye level with my daughter while she sat in the chair and played with toys on the tray while i did my chores.

-not sure what the other reviewers were talking about in terms of this being difficult to clean, but i've had ZERO issues. i vacuum out the debris from the nook. the seat isn't washable, but it lifts in enough places that i'm able to get it spotless. my daughter has thrown up in this chair no less than ten times and you'd never know it. all the harnesses (except for the lap ones) are removable. for the lap harnesses, i just got creative and sprayed cleaner (obviously baby-friendly cleaner) on the straps to soak them, scrubbed and let them dry. if you're diligent about cleaning up the messes as they come, it's not an issue.

      cons:
-the tray sticks when i'm trying to attach it. this is by far the most frustrating bit. i'd give this five stars otherwise. there's no debris in the holes where the tray attaches, but it still sticks. i'm thinking of rubbing a little olive oil to see if that helps. that said, the tray has never failed me by falling out once attached (albeit frustratingly) properly.

Comments about Prima Pappa Best - Paloma:

I did a lot of research for a high chair for my son. I don't like the typical over the top kids designs that are out there. The Prima Pappa is super stylish and very easy to clean. The only con I can think of is that I wish the waist strap came off to clean. Other than that, it's a great chair that we get lots of compliments of. And despite its size, its style helps it to blend in.

It is the most beautiful highchair on the market,so I gave it 1 star, but that is about it!The tray is way too high,it is good only for a toddler. The straps are hard to clean, they are removable with a help of a screwdriver and washable in washing machine.I am very dissapointed with this highchair,I wish Peg Perego would refund our money for it!

Comments about Prima Pappa Best - Paloma:

We have been using this high chair every day for every meal for about nine months and overall, we love it. We selected it because of the range of adjustments for growing children. Our son is 13 months old and could easily sit in this chair in the reclined position as soon as he could sit up comfortably. It does recline back pretty far and all of the latches to make adjustments are easy to work. It folds easily and the wheeled bottom makes it easy to slide from kitchen to dining room while getting dinner ready. The two trays are also very nice. We have found a few cons so far but nothing too major. At 13 months our son's feet still do not reach the foot rest (and aren't even close), also we have the "paloma" or tan color and it is stained from fabric rubbing on it where my son sits, we have not been able to remove the staining with any cleaners. Also, the cushion/cover as well as the lower straps are not removable to clean. Overall, a very nice, sturdy, safe high chair but a little on the pricey side.

We have two of these chairs, one for a two-year old and the other for a 6-month old. The chair has a recline setting for the infant and we use it as an activity station placing toys and formula on the tray. The two-year old uses it for all his meals. Kids are messy and any high chair is going to get dirty. We touch-up clean everyday and after a month or so, the whole chair is washed down with dish-soap and the garden hose. It drys out in about an hour and has no rust (plastic and Al thoughout). All materials are of good quality which is needed if it's going to going to take the abuse we put it through. We also like the double tray system.

Comments about Prima Pappa Best - Paloma:

Our daughter started to use this chair at about 10.5 months. We bought it at a store, so we had a chance to sit our daughter in many other chairs. This one was the most comfortable for her from the start. She is now 18 months old and I have no regrets about buying this chair. We live in a small apartment, so the chair sits in the living room - I never fold it. Even though the chair is big, it doesn't look funny with the rest of the furniture (we have the chair in brown). The seat and the tray clean easily. The only problem I have is with cleaning the straps - the strap fabric is textured, so I can never get it 100% clean (but it's not disgusting either). All in all - good purchase.

Comments about Prima Pappa Best Highchair - Cacao:

I registered for this because it looked the nicest (read: no crazy wild cartoony colors and characters, matches our home decor), and because the seat looked so comfortable. I should have read the reviews beforehand. This was a waste of almost $300. The tray is up way too high (even for my now 10 month old who is 75% percentile for height). It is nearly up to her chin, which makes it very tempting for her to plant her mouth right down on the edge and relieve her teething, swollen gums. Also, when baby gets food on her hands (even if i resist letting her self feed-- which you should not since babies need to learn-- she invariably ends up with food on her hands, and then she smooshes it all in the little nooks and crannies around the handles, etc. I am not even referring to the trap for food that is the seat (which, as someone else pointed out, you could use a vacuum attachment to clean). The nooks and crannies in the plastic seams are nearly impossible to clean, and are a breeding ground for bacteria and germs once baby puree is smooshed in there.

also, even on the tightest setting, the harness/seat belt isn't anywhere near secure on her at 10 months. it must be made for really giant babies or else 2 year olds and up.

i don't understand how peg perego doesn't get their act together after reading all these reviews (which apparently have been terrible for years).

we ended up buying a fisher price booster, which our daughter loves much more. for the next child, we'll be going for boon or bloom chairs.

Comments about Prima Pappa Best Highchair - Nuvola:

OK, yes, it does have lots of "nooks and crannies" as suggested by other reviewers. And yes, those can trap the food your child plays with. But I have a 10 year-old and a 7 year-old that we used the same model with (different name: Prima Pappa), and we found it to be a great chair aside from the cleaning aspect. In fact, it was portable enough even then for us to take it to Morton's or our club for dinner (well before a highchair was a usual restaurant offering)!

When we found out we were expecting our 3rd child, I had a great time looking for baby gear. So much has changed! At any rate, I immediately checked out more contemporary-looking highchairs, but found them to be lacking after our experience with the Prima Pappa. In the end, I went right back to the chair that worked so well for us the first two times around.

Our baby loves it--she can sit in it reclined while I cook dinner, and the wheels allow me to move her around. Yes, she is a big girl, as were our boys: at 4 months she is 15 lbs. though not tall enough with the tray yet. The chair height is adjustable and that's a big bonus for us.

My advice for cleaning: arm yourself with a toothpick and a microfiber cloth and cleaning is a breeze. For our 1st two kids--and they were MESSY--I only had to break out the toothpick to clean every couple weeks.

If you are a new family and looking to make an investment that will last and continue to work for you, this is it.

I have a 6 month old who does well in the chair. Yes, the table is a bit high, but I primarily use it for my benefit to place his bowls and sippy cup on it. It wipes easily and the table comes out quickly for clean up. It is a bit bulky so not good in tight spaces. I like the 5 point harness.

My 9 month old hates this chair. She screams to get out of it! The tray is too high and the belt buckle is hard to get in and out of (a serious hazard when making the switch to table food if you need to get them out in a hurry...) plus it has pinched her a couple times. I thought I was buying the best product on the market but wish I bought something else. I am so dissapointed. It isn't just all high chairs either because she is super happy in the plain wood restaurant high chairs that scoot up to the table. Go figure!

It is so difficult to clean, has too many nooks that trap EVERYTHING, and does not fold up easily at all. I need to get a new chair. I am so disappointed!

Comments about Prima Pappa Best - Paloma:

This high chair is gorgeous! It has the fake leather that is good looking and easy to clean. The chair was easy to assemble, is easy to adjust the height of the chair (to fit up against a table), and I love that the tray can store itself on the back of the unit.

HOWEVER, the tray is much to high! My daughter is 6 months old and is in the 50th percentile for height so she is an average size baby and the tray comes right up to her chin! We cannot use the tray right now at all. Luckily, we can push the high chair up to the table but that really isn't ideal.

If you have a baby that is tall for his/her age or if you are ok with you child slamming things into your dining table then this high chair is for you. However, if style isn't as important as function I would go with another option. I hear the Chicco high chair is awesome.
