My daughter fell in love with these shoes after seeing them on another girls feet in our Kindermusik class. I purchased them for her Christmas outfit, but after family pictures and the holidays I let my daughter wear these anytime she wants, especially since little people feet grow so quickly. She's worn these in sand, tan bark, grass, you name it! They've held up well, and since the bottoms aren't rubber, they don't stick to the slide and allow her to go down smooth and fast. She chooses these shoes over all her others for comfort and confidence in sure-footedness. The only con is that now at almost 20 months, the smooth bottoms can cause her to slip and take a spill on the slick hardwood floors in our home when she gets running at a high speed. Other than that, these are fabulous!

These are the BEST shoes for a new walker... period! They flex with their feet, allowing them to teeter and regain their balance. Almost all other shoes on the market are too stiff in the sole, or have started making a shoe like this... but none of the other brands are made this well. Totally worth the money.
