I purchased the 12-18m size for my 12 month old. This is my first venture with Pediped, having previously purchased Stride Rites for my first born. They were okay and of the two brands, I think I now prefer Pediped overall.

The quality is great. The leather is supple yet firm, making it easy for her to walk around in these. The soles are grippy, but not so much that they impede her ability to get around as she develops her walking skills. The leather also seems durable. After 1 month of daily outdoor wear, the shoes still look brand new with no deterioration/scuffs/scratches/peeling of the leather.

The style of the shoe is the best part! Gold is a fun and unusual neutral so it goes with pretty much everything. Not only does the baby LOVE them - she giggles excitedly when we bring them out and she clearly loves having them on her feet - but everyone who sees them comments on how adorable they are. The little flowers are secured with golden rivet type things and don't seem in any danger of coming loose or falling off. They are just so darned cute!

Size wise, my 95% height/50% weight baby has generous room to grow into the shoe. She doesn't have especially fat or slim feet/ankles and the top fits comfortably without leaving any marks in her skin. The strap is also reasonably adjustable for a good fit. They are so cute that I'll be looking for the next size once she outgrows these!

Buy these shoes! If you can't find the gold, get another color, you won't regret it!

I ordered these in gold for my daughter when she was 11 months old in the 6-12 mos size. I would have never thought of buying her gold shoes in a size she would soon out grow, but she was to be a flower girl in a wedding with a gold shoe theme and the next size up would have been too big. Unfortunately, the shoes showed up the week after the wedding- so shame on diapers.com for that- when I put the shoe in my cart it said it would take 2 days and after I placed the order only then did the confirmation reveal they were not going to show up until after the wedding. This is the only reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5. Luckily, for us the shoes have otherwise been a great success.
- She is a very active chid, running and climbing everywhere, and we can tell these shoes do not impede her in anyway and are comfortable, with sufficient room in the front and quality, flexible soles.
-She has worn them frequently and they have held up wonderfully.
-They are very attractive and we are constantly getting complements, ironically enough, especially for the gold color. I have a new respect for gold shoes as they do match everything.
-They stay on her feet and seem true to size- she still wears them at 13 mos without socks but I think they would probably be too snug with socks).
