            Comments about Pat the Bunny:

My children love this book and we enjoy the tactile stimulation. That said, the book is bound with a plastic spiral and they tore it up before they were old enough to enjoy the book. From what I am reading there is a version that is truly a "board book" that will be more durable than this version. We'll look for that one.

Received this as a gift. My son loves this book. He does all the activities especially the mirror and peak-a-boo. We've been reading this one for almost a year now and he does not appear tired of it. I would definitely recommend. I do not find it cheap as others have stated.

This is the most disgraceful excuse for a childrens' book I have ever seen. When I was a kid, this book was a board book...this [$] waste of money is at best a spiral notebook just waiting to be ripped apart in a childs hands. The story is great, a fun book for very young children, but DO NOT buy this copy. Find a board book copy and save yourself the irritation of having it ruined in 10 minutes...

This is NOT a board book. It has a plastic spiral binding that comes apart very easily. The pages are NOT board material pages, they are thicker than typical pages but they are double sided.Overall this is the worst quality book I have ever seen for any child. I was afraid to let my son get too close because it was so easy for him to rip the pages out of the spiral binding. Not worth $2.50 let alone [$]

This is her favorite book. Each page that we turn, my daughter knows exactly what to do! IT IS WONDERFUL for getting your child to learn and love books!

I got this book at a babyshower just after my daughter was born. At first I wasn't impressed with the book as it didn't seem ... visually stimulating. That certainly didnt stop Madeline from *loving* it from four months until the present time (10.5 months). The book is her absolute favorite book. She loves patting the bunny, putting her finger through the ring, seeing her reflection in the mirror, smelling the flowers (absolutely hilarious when she figured out how to 'sniff' at seven months), and waving bye-bye. This book has saved sanity many times when she just didn't want to nap, so we'd stick the book in with her while she was in her crib, we'd hear her jabbering away while 'reading' the book and eventually put herself to sleep. I highly recommend the book!

The tactile stimulation & child participation keeps baby attentive & teaches your baby the importance of reading, closeness & togetherness. Now a new Grandmother, I'm extatic at the prospect of reading this with my grandson; I remember sitting on my grandmother's lap with this book.

Its amazing! both me and my husband were surprized how easily our son, Girwan could follow the instructions in the book easily. He received the book from his uncle residing in US. We love watching him pat the bunny, smell the flowers, feel the daddy's scratchy face and tick tick bunny too. He has actually followed the instruction not ony in the book but he actually is feeling his daddy's face and putting his small fingers throuch our rings. He goes to our garden and smells each flower.

When I first was given the book, I didn't think he would like it because the cover made me know that it was an older book. Boy was I wrong. This is the most read book in my household by my 16 month old. The cover has fallen off he reads it so much.

Bar none, one of THE (if not THE) greatest first books of all time. We started reading it at birth and for too many months to recall, my 17mos has been joyfully doing all the motions that Paul and Judy do - including smelling the flowers which cracks me up since now everytime she sees a flower, she tries to smell it! Flowers on her clothes, her shoes, my clothes, my shoes, in other books, silk ones, real ones - they're all the same to her! Of course she does this all with a HUGE grin and hearty giggle following. Given to us before her birth by a couple named Paul and Judy (on purpose, of course) adds just the right sentimental icing to the cake! In fact, we've already gone through one book and I had to purchase another at ~14 mos.

We were given this book as a gift when our 3.5 yr. old blind daughter was an infant. Though we didn't use it much then, she adores it now, and it is part of our bed time ritual. She relates to Daddy's scratchy face, loves to put her finger through Mummy's ring, and has a strong determinaton to "make the dolly's ball squeek". What a wonderful gift for a new Mommy/Daddy - a true childhood classic.
