Comments about Tot Baby Food Mill - Green:

I purchased the baby food mill over a food processor because I read that it doesnt over process the foods and make them too starchy/sticky like a food process can (esp. with sweet potatoes). I love this product! Its very well made, with very study, stainless steel parts vs. other brands who use plastic parts. It's is very easy to use, and really does get the baby food to a very fine consistency! The only con I have to this product is that a lot of the food gets stuck on the edges so I will disassemble it and use a spatula to integrate the food back into the mill. Overall, its a great purchase, especially at this price. I think it has better results than the food processor.

Comments about Tot Baby Food Mill - Green:

I was looking for something that didn't require electicity to puree foods for my baby, and I found it! This is a great product. The metal parts work great, are easy to clean, and I assume will last a long time. Very easy to use, especially when fruits/veggies are steamed. You will have to scrape some of the food puree off the bottom of the grinder plate so it gets into the bowl - but not a big deal. Can make large batches and freeze portions. Check out video to see actual size. Love this!

Comes with three blades so you can choose how thick or thin you need your puree. Super easy to put together. Sturdy enough to go into a dishwasher. Once baby is done using, you can also use for your own recipes such as making tomato sauce and running the tomatoes thru the mill to remove seeds. ...Perfection.

Comments about Tot Baby Food Mill - Green:

I had read iffy reviews on the more common and cheaper baby food mill on the market, but I liked the OXO model b/c it had metal parts and seemed larger for preparing more food at one time. It is very easy to assemble and clean up is a snap. I've only used the fine disk, and it is very effective at getting the right consistency for first foods for my daughter. The only con that I really see with this product is it takes alot of patience. I pureed a butternut squash in it and at first I thought it was only getting the liquid out. However, I kept at it and soon realized it was grinding up the pulp, it just takes awhile. Towards the end, you have to keep scraping the sides to keep the food accessible to the grinder, otherwise, you waste alot. Other than that, it was very easy to use. It does not require alot of force to turn the knob. Just takes time! Considering I've had very little luck using blenders and food processors to get the right consistency, this has been a lifesaver for homemade baby food at our house.
