Comments about Teach Me Time! Talking Alarm Clock and Night-Light:

I like that this clock is very versatile and will be able to be used for a number of years before my child(ren) grow out of it. It could be better if you could program it to turn green/yellow for more than one time. Eg: would like it to turn yellow when it's time to go to sleep for nap and night and green for getting up for each one. And, I'd like it to be un-lit when it is time to be asleep. You can maneuver around the yellow staying on all night, but it requires some figuring. I like the amount of light the feet and face of the clock emit. It is just bright enough to be able to see, but not so bright that it makes scary shadows. :)

Comments about Teach Me Time! Talking Alarm Clock and Night-Light:

This clock is perfect for our family! Our 4 year old will sleep until 7:30 every morning but wakes and sneaks into my bed most nights. I set the green for the time he's allowed to come into mommy's room. Started at 2am and working my way until morning. He completely understands the green means go function (and I like that this clock stays green until morning). Read on some reviews that the settings were confusing but I don't find them confusing at all especially if you read the directions.

Comments about Teach Me Time! Talking Alarm Clock and Night-Light:

I don't normally write reviews but I am so excited I found this clock! My 2.5 yo has been getting me up between 5 and 6 for weeks and I keep telling him "its not time to get up yet" but it occurred to me that he has no way of knowing when it is "ok to get up" since he obviously can't read a clock yet. I didn't want to set an alarm in case he did happen to sleep in one morning. Then I found this clock that turns green when you set up the ok to wake feature. Took him a couple days but by day 3 I got up a little after 7 (I set his ON time to 7) and he was standing by his door saying 'mommy look its green its ok to get up now!!'. I was shocked! Not sure what time he actually woke up at but he had pulled some toys out of his toy chest and must have been playing quietly until the clock changed! He even excitedly tells me about it at night now as he is going to bed and talks about waiting for the green light.
As for the brightness of the face during the night, it glows a yellow color that would probably be a little bright if I were to set it up right next to his pillow but I have it set up across the room on a desk so it doesn't bother him. I haven't played with too many of the other features yet for actually teaching time or anything so I can't comment on those. But the wake up light alone makes it worth the money to me, even if nothing else on the clock works! lol

My son is 2.5 and we love this clock. Before the clock he was waking up anywhere from 6:00 to 7:00 AM. We set the clock to turn green at 7 AM. The first morning at 7 AM he said, "mom it is green, time to get out of bed" and he has been doing well since. The night light is not that bright, but that is fine with me. It is really more if a mild glow that an actual light. The talking, time-teaching features will be nice when he is older.

I'm updating my rating above because after my daughter waking for 4 years all throughout through the night, she's slept through the night 43 days in a ROW!!...staying in bed until the light turns green. Either the clock or the chocolate she gets as a reward is working, but I'm pretty sure it's both. She says often, "mommy, I stayed in bed until the light came on!". She's 4 1/2 and it really does work. It also works for bedtime to make sure lights are OUT by a certain time, she can both see and hear what time it is, so there's no argument (usually!).

                            Hope this helps.

Comments about Teach Me Time! Talking Alarm Clock and Night-Light:

It's difficult to tell from the photos, but this clock's face is very bright. I end up covering it up each night!
                                As are the "foot" lights.
It does operate as described though and is simple to program.

                                Pros:
Green to Wake function is nice, I bypass the "stay in bed light" function, it's too bright and with the face of the clock being too bright already, adding this function doubles the brightness. You can program it to basically bypass that light simply by setting the light "on" to be one minute before the green light on time (outsmarting the clock I guess). But, when you have the lights programed the nightlight function doesn't work, so it's either/or, night light available, or sleep/wake lights programed.

Pressing the right foot button is fun for my four year old...it's "speaks" the time. It can be fun to "beat the time" in getting to bed (could do the same with "beat the light", but light is way too bright, see below). I know as she gets older the learning tools will be nice.
                                Easy to program

                                Cons:
Foot lights too bright, it's bright even from underneath so it also reflects from the table top it's sitting on.

The face of the clock is entirely too bright. Face of clock is brighter than any nightlight I would EVER use, but add to the fact that this is a clock that is supposed to be within arms reach it's way too bright. I don't like the idea of having such a bright light shining in my child's eyes all night....messes with sleep rhythm, so I cover it with a little cuddle blanket leaving the top open so we can see the green light when it comes on.

The face should have an option to dim, as it is now there is a dimmer, but it seems to me it's bright and then brighter.

Overall I'm happy with the purchase, but I actually might keep it in the playroom rather than the bedroom. If your child likes a dark room, this won't work. If your child (and you) don't mind bright night light (or you choose to cover it) than it should be fine bedside. (Tip supposedly you can unscrew the bottom to disable the foot lights, but it still leaves the face of the clock too bright.)
