Comments about OK to Wake! Owl with Night-Light and Music:

My 3-year old daughter loves this owl. She absolutely loves the music and plays it all night long. She understands what the orange (not time yet) and green (time to get up) colors mean, and won't leave the room until it turns green.

BUT, unfortunately, it is unreliable. The clock resets itself if lightly dropped on the ground, and possibly other times too. I am constantly needing to reset the clock and the alarms multiple times a day. My daughter has realized that it doesn't always work, so she will wake up before its time and call for me and tell me that it is broken... which defeats the purpose of the owl and just makes for more work.

I really wanted to love this owl and when it does work its awesome. I just wish there were more cushioning or something to keep it from resetting.

Comments about OK to Wake! Owl with Night-Light and Music:

This is a great idea but it just isn't working for us. The first night that we tried it, we praticed and my son was excited to try it (almost 3 years old). When he woke up, he started screaming that he was scared. When the "green" light comes on, it highlights the owl's eyes....so in the dark it looks lik 2 eyes are watching you. After many attempts to put the owl back into his room....he refusing to sleep in his room when it is in there, thus defeating the entire purpose of keeping him in bed!

Comments about OK to Wake! Owl with Night-Light and Music:

This owl totally changed my life, and I'm now spreading the gospel about it. My daughter woke up at 5:00am pretty much every day of her entire life until I purchased this owl when she was 22 months old. It took about 2 weeks of talking about the owl incessantly and being incredibly strict about NOT going into her room until I knew it would be green, but ever since the end of those two weeks, she is waking up at 7:00am. She used to wake up SCREAMING both in the morning and after naps, but now she frequently (not always) wakes up talking quietly to herself and then calmly says, "Mommy, the owl is green" when she's ready for me to come in. It's truly amazing.

introduced this the day we got rid of the pacifiers. two year old loves it. I love how during the night it says go back to sleep and when it is getting close to wake up time it changes to just a little longer. When it turns green he says he turned green. Loves pushing the button to hear the wake music.

Comments about OK to Wake! Owl with Night-Light and Music:

This little owl is really great. I was looking for something to keep my 34-month-old son in his bed until I was ready to get him up. (7am in our house)

The clock can be set on the Owl so that it glows green when it's "Ok to Wake." It glows brightly, and my son responded immediately! I showed him how it worked and we talked about how it would be green when it was time to get out of bed. The nap-timer feature is also easy to use.

One caution (which I read about elsewhere and totally agree) - this item is designed for the child to keep in bed with them. Don't do this - my son figured out how to open up the back in about 10 seconds. And it would not be difficult for a curious toddler/preschooler to reprogram your time settings. So - best usage - put it up on a shelf out of the child's reach! Only let them play with it when you are watching.

But I definitely recommend this little owl. It is working beautifully!

                    This thing works!

Comments about OK to Wake! Owl with Night-Light and Music:

My 2 1/2 year old was waking up too early because of the summer sunlight. An acquaintance suggested this product (she had something similar from years ago) so I figured why not. Anything that results in more sleep is worth a try! Basically, you program the owl so that it lights up green at the time you want it to. For example, if wake-up time is 7 am then that's when the owl turns green, as in the "green light" to get out of bed. It's that simple, and it works for my toddler. The owl also has various settings for music, but I turned off all sound and only use it as a light. All I had to do was tell my toddler that when the owl turns green then it was okay to get up, and if the owl was still dark then it was still bed time. I'm astonished and so pleased that this has worked out so well!
