its a really cute book and made me a little teary eyed when i first read it, Although it is really small and has a lot of advertising for other dr. suess stories, i still thought it was enjoyable and worth a couple dollars on, i wouldnt pay more than 2 or 3 dollars for it

I love this little book...it is a tiny book but a very nice one. I read it to my unborn baby every night...and I don't know if it is just me, but he starts moving like crazy when I read this book to him. Highly recommend it!

The book is cute, no doubt about it, but I expected the book to be about places they would go in the real world NOT in Dr. Seussland. Entertaining, but a little too propagandaish for me. We have more fun when my husband reads the newspaper to my belly in a silly voice.

I bought this book early on in my pregnancy as I had given it as a gift to others. My husband & I read it several times a week to our son before he was born. We kind of forgot about it when he was first born, but I decided to read it to him when he was about 2 or 3 months old. He got all excited! Perhaps he just liked the rhyming, but I can't help but think he remembered hearing it from before he was born! We've had this reaction from him more than once.

The story, I think, is a very cute idea, and the ending is wonderful. However, I just wanted to point out to all potential buyers the DIMENSIONS of this book. My husband and I couldn't believe how small it was when it arrived! Note that the product does say "purse size"!

What a wonderful book! I love Dr. Seuss and began reading One Fish, Two Fish to the baby around 25 weeks, but it's so long! Far too long to read to a baby that's still inside. This book is perfect. I stumbled over my words a little, but I got it after three reads. It's very sweet. Made me teary.

I loved reading this book to my son every night before he was born. The day he was born, I read it to him in the hospital, and he quieted immediately. I loved the 5 minutes of daily bonding and have shared this book with every expectant mom I know. Enjoy!

I would advise avoiding this book. This is a blatant (perhaps the only) case of in utero advertising. The book contains a preface explaining how fetuses will respond to a story in utero and infants will respond to it after being born. To quote: "the baby apparently recalled having heard the story before...in utero". This a form of advertising. There is essentially no new story here, just a clever, sneaky introduction of many Dr. Seuss characters that the fetus will come to recognise due to specific syllabic and phonetic characteristics. No doubt the authors hope your toddler will later recognize these characters and press you to purchase the books. All of us, from infant to infirmary, are bombarded virtually every waking moment with corporate advertising, and as such, I feel the fetus should at least be shielded from this.

Just received this book last night and read it for the first time with my husband. The pictures are cute, but the message did not really touch me in any way. We will keep reading it though, and I'm excited to see how the baby will respond in and out of the womb! I was disappointed when I opened the package, because the book is SO small. I thought it would be a normal size book. It looks instead like something that would be given away as a freebie or sample. But then again, it WAS easy to hold in one hand, so I could rub my belly at the same time to bond! I just wish that I had noticed that they do advertise this as being purse-size in the details.

The very first time i read it...i was giggling ang laughing at how silly the sentences could be. Then i realized, that they contructed it to make different, rhythmic funny sounds in my tummy. Towards the end... the words 'I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU!" took me by surprise and tears came pouring out. I dunno if my baby would react when i begin to feel movements but i don't care i know she's listening... This book might be small but it makes a BIG difference!!!

I just brought the book two weeks ago. I it read to my baby twice. I think it is a great introduction to the Dr Seuss books I will be reading my child once he is born. The only problem I had was that it did not mention the Lorax. That has always been a personal favorite of mine.

I received this as a gift when I was pregnant. I read this book every night before my daughter was born. In the hospital my daughter was in bed with me and wouldn't stop crying. I brought the book with me, but couldn't get to it (I had a c-section and couldn't get out of bed). I recited it from memory and she stopped crying! I might be wrong, but I believe she remembered it from before her birth.
