The crib is made from solid birch with the exception of its bottom rail and legs, which are made from Baltic birch plywood for additional strength.       Comments about Sparrow Crib Grey:

      This is stunning, and worth every penny. HOWEVER. One main reason it's stunning is because the hardware is hidden, unlike cheaper cribs. Unlike cheap cribs, that makes it quite tricky to put together. Unless you're triple jointed and have monkey long fingers, you're going to have a humdinger of a time tightening the hardware. That said, once it's together it's gorgeous. VERY sturdy (ready really really heavy!). Color is fabulous. This isn't a crib that you'd use a crib skirt with. The mattress support fits too tight, and it's too low to the ground.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
