I have 4sm, 4lg nuby straw cups. My son began using these st 12m. He's 17m now. They hold up great, parts interchangeable w/ lg size. I take off handles to cut back on cabinet space. Colors are nice and mix/match easily. Diapers.com sent another cup quickly when I rec'd pink/purple combo for my son. I wish they let u pick your own colors.... Cup is very affordable. I've bought at least 6 other straw cups and hated them all. Nuby is best in my experience.

The item pictured was gender neutral, but the sippy cup that was sent was bright pink and purple so now I have to go through the hassle of returning it.

This thing is terrible, it not only leaks but actively spits the liquid up out of the straw! We live at 2500 feet above sea level so that may contribute, but still!

You have to take the straw out to clean and it's soooo hard to get it back in. We have 2 and only use them if all the other sippy cups are already dirty.

My 10 month old had difficulty with this straw. He has to bite down on it in order to suck the water through it. Perhaps when he's older he'll figure it out. I hope so because it's a great design - very sturdy and leak-proof.

This was the first sippy cup my twin girls used and it was great for water when they were under a year old. The problem with older babies and toddlers is that they can easily destroy the delicate valve that makes the cup spill proof by chewing on the straw. Since biting the straw is necessary in order to get liquid out, chewing on it becomes a natural progression. I found one web site that sells replacement straws and bought a ten pack so I could replace the ones that got destroyed. Once I had gone through the whole 10 pack, I decided it was time to move on to a different cup.

I haven't yet made the full switch to sippy cups, but really like this straw cup for when I do. It seems to be the easiest to use, clean, and travel with of the others I've seen.

This is so easy for my 7m to use. He can drink on his own because it doesn't have to be tipped up. He can control the flow better than a sippy cup too. My 2yo is obsessed with straws so loves it also. My only complaint is that it doesn't fit in a cup holder so my daughter has to hold it on her lap in the car.

Like that most Nuby parts are interchangable with other Nuby products. Took out straw to wash product and can't get it back in.

When I first introduced this cup to my 10 month old daughter, she didn't take to it very well. I tried using the cup to see how hard it would be. It's a little difficult, you have to bite the straw and suck at the same time. It takes some getting used to. We tried for about a month, then bought some playtex first sipster straw cups. She didn't like those at all. I bought more NUK sippy cups and those lasted a little while. Then, I brought out the Nuby straw cups again. And she loves them now! Which is great because the playtex straw cups spill milk all over the place as the milk warms up at room temperature. So, if you set the playtex cup out and forget about it for like 10 minutes, there is a puddle of liquid. Not cool. These Nuby straw cups don't leak at all and won't leak out even with the straw up. So, although it took a little while for my daughter to caught on, it's a good cup. I will buy the bigger version in a few months.

I saw a lot of reviewers find this cup difficult to clean - I had the opposite experience and found it very easy to clean! I did not find the straw difficult to put back in the hole after cleaning. I don't know, maybe there is a variance between the cups and that's why mine works great and others found cleaning it difficult - but seriously, it was extremely easy for me to clean. My son loves the cup too. I've had problems with other sippy cups where he would use it and the flow is too strong compared to the bottle and he ends up with a lot of liquid dripping from his mouth after he takes a sip - that's no problem with this cup. He gets plenty of fluid when he sips (more than the bottle) but not too much. It works great as a transitional training cup.

I've tried many sippy cups and the biggest problem my baby has is that she has a hard time getting liquid out of them due to the no-leak/vault design. This one is the only one I used that has a separate hole (not vault) on the lid to let air out so the liquid can flow out easily. However, to be leak proof the straw is designed so that the baby has to squeeze the straw a little bit using her lips to open up the straw, so I simply cut a hole out of the little "door" on the straw and it flows just like a regular straw. It's not as leak proof any more but if u close the lid it's still leak proof, just when the straw is exposed it's not. But this way my baby can drink w/o any obstructions. Also the straw is very soft. It's the only sippy cup/bottle my baby would use during teething, so I'm getting more despite the trouble.

I ordered 3 neutral color cups and they sent me 3 all the same cups colored blue and pink. I have a son so I was hoping that I wouldn't get anything with pink or purple in it. I called and they said they would send me 3 new cups. I received them and they were the same 3, blue with pink.
The cup is good but the color they send is not so good!
