love these vitamins! I took them throughout my pregnancy and now while nursing. They dont make you feel sick. The one con is that you have to take 3 a day but i understand that- you probably dont want to put that many nutrients in at one time anyway. Love it!

This prenatal was wonderful! The instructions are to take 3 tablets daily and you can take them on AN EMPTY STOMACH!! I had no stomach upset associated with these vitamins. I used these through my entire first pregnancy and I swear that's why my baby girl was in amazing health when she was born! The nurses kept commenting on how alert she was. I am now in the first trimester of my second pregnancy and I am taking these prenatals again. I love that they are whole food multivitamins and that they include a breast support blend. This product requires you to take 3 tablets per day; I took 2 in the morning and 1 in the evening with meals, although since it is food-based, you can take it on an empty stomach. The tablets are smaller than one-per-day supplements, which may be a plus for some who have trouble swallowing tablets.
It's so gentle on your stomach, I never had any side-effects like nausea or constipation from the iron. (Food-based iron is much more easily digested and absorbed than synthetic.) The only drawback would be that you have to take 3 per day, so if you tend to forget to take your supplements, you might not like this. Although, you could take all 3 at once without an issue.

I'm 5 months pregnant now and tried to take these during the first trimester and they just got my gag reflex going every time even if I was not having morning sickness at the moment and tried to have them with a meal later in the day. 3 pills a day was just overkill. I was also burping up a terrible taste that made me gag some more. I had to stop taking them and gave them away. New Chapter is a great line but these prenatal vitamins are terrible in odor, taste and digestion and three a day is just unbearable.

These prenatals are great - they can be taken at any time and do not cause any nausea! I also like that they have a high concentration of vitamin D. The only thing I dislike is having to take 3 pills at once - at first I would forget and just take 1.

I had been taking a gummy prenatal vitamin throughout the first half of my pregnancy. I did not know much about vitamins. I brought it into my first appointment and they said it was fine. They didn't recommend any additional supplements. As I progressed in pregnancy I learned more about nutrition and started to think that the vitamin I was taking was probably not only lacking, but also contained some unnecessary ingredients. I searched and discovered this whole food vitamin and thought it sounded excellent, with the exception of it's lack in omega 3's. I've been taking this vitamin for about 2 weeks now and it's great. I can't say if I actually feel different before and after taking it - but I feel much more confident that I'm getting the proper vitamins. The peace of mind is worth it!

I'm not good at swallowing pills but this vitamin easily breaks in half so I do it that way. It doesn't taste bad like I've remembered pill form vitamins to taste in the past. It smells and tastes "natural" (maybe kind of grassy?) and is really easy to take with no effects of an upset stomach or any other digestive issues. A bit expensive but if you buy the larger bottles it's much cheaper "per day". So worth it.

I did not use New Chapter while pregnant with my son, I used another organic whole-food brand that is only available through healthcare professionals and was taking upwards of 15 pills/day. Soon after giving birth, I switched to New Chapter and haven't looked back - going on 2 years nursing. I will say that I chew them - and it's actually not as terribly as it sounds - but whole-food vitamins are absorbed better that way. I particularly like that the Vit A is 100% beta-carotene, Vit D & the Ks are included, and the amounts of the B vitamins, esp B6 - all important for making a healthy baby!!!
