Initially purchased the paper placemats but my son was able to rip those off. These are much better, although they seem to occasionally leave a mark on the table.

Great item to have in the baby bag when you go out to eat. But be careful what kind of table you put it on...I have taken the lacquer off of many tables! The adhesive is a bit too sticky, but it's good on most tables. My 15 month old keeps entertained with it and it blocks the germs.

These are invaluable at restaurants and the designs are super cute. We use the designs (with numbers, faces, animals, etc.) as an opportunity to teach our 1 year old while we're waiting for dinner to arrive.
