I used to have the cheaper Sealy mattress pads and they ended up ripping on the sides and become useless. This pad is cushioned, soft and fits wonderful. Best of all, the sides are made from fabric and will not shred and rip. Worth every penny. Wish I had these the first round.

We are using this on in our newborn's crib...it has already paid off by saving the mattress from several accidents. The fluids balls up on top not going through to the mattress. We love it and will tell our friends.

I generally never review online products purchased. I felt compelled to share my experience here as within two weeks of owning this product our eight year old accidentally tipped a tall cup of apple juice on our bed. The comforter and sheets were soaked but when we lifted up the fitted sheet we couldn't believe our eyes: the juice just puddled up on the mattress pad refusing to penetrate thru to our mattress.Here is a case where a [$] mattress pad saved a $2500 mattress.

We initially purchased this product because it was very eye catching and attractive in the online pictures provided. When we received it , we were impressed out of the package with the high quality workmanship and sewing. Within several weeks we came to appreciate that functionally this pad is totally waterproof. As it became exposed to accidents,the water would bead up and collect on the surface for hours, providing us the opportunity to wipe it away with a paper towel. We had owned mattress pads for our 3 other kids but this product is a major improvement over anything that we have seen.
