I didn't want to use Vicks on my newborn's skin, and someone recommended this instead. It's a light cream that absorbs quickly and has a much gentler scent than the other brand. It has helped her breathe much better at night, in conjunction with a humidifier.

I did not feel safe using a traditonal baby vapor rub with my 4 month old because he was a 34 week preemie and has RSV. I decided to buy this to try on him and I am glad I did. It helps with his RSV breathing but it isnt strong like the other brands. Very light sent is all our baby needed because his nose and sense of smell is still sensitive. We LOVE all of our Mustela products and this one didnt let us down either.

I was always a Vaporub fan (infant formula), but we were turned onto using Mustela with our youngest and found this product a few months ago to try when he caught a cold. I admit, at first, I thought the smell was really lovely but it didn't smell anything like Vaporub and wondered if it would really work. I wiped it away and thought nothing but Vaporub will work for this poor baby's RSV. I rubbed Vaporub on his chest that night only to find - he is the only one of my kids who hates it with a passion. I went back to this balm and he slept soundly (when combined with a humidifier). It isnt greasy, it is a thick lotion really, so be prepared that some will get on the pajamas but it doesn't stain. It is a gentle smell and very soothing (no methol, etc). Super gentle on the skin!
