Our toddler loves opening the frig and dumping milk on the floor. After cleaning up several gallons we searched for something to lock the frig with. This was the only brand that actually worked. It has been 6 months and they are still going strong. The trick is to use two for added strength.

I tried this lock as my cabinets are cheap and the traditional cabinet locks don't work. I've also tried the curved plastic ones that you slide the locking mechanism up. Those work on cabinets with handles but not so well on knobs. This lock works well on the knob cabs. If the child is determined enough they could still slide there hands into the cab from the bottom or top, but by that point you probably don't need locks anymore. I also use this lock for my corner folding door cabs. I have to fasten one side to the corner cab and the other to a drawer. My 3.5 yr old pulls the drawer open and it opens the corner cab a little, but again it's my baby that I'm concerned about and she couldn't really get into the cab. Overall good quality product!
