This cup is truly spill proof. I'd give it 5 stars except my kids can't flip the lid open by themselves. If the valve was a bit easier to flip it'd receive 5. The question is...if it were easier though, would it be as spill proof :)

9 out of 10 times the bottle will leak even when we are very careful about closing the lid. The bottles are made of very cheap plastic and requires strong suction to get out the fluid. My baby doesn't like it even though she has no trouble with straw bottles of other brands.

These are near impossible to suck any liquid through the straw. Even my nine year old and myself find it near impossible, let alone my one year old. : (

On one hand, I like the straw sippies, it doesn't leak when the straw is hidden, it is easy to clean and assemble/disassemble (just need to follow the directions), and my little one likes a straw sippie. On the other hand, it is hard to draw from the straw (even for me) and you need to squeeze the valve to help the baby get going. It does leak through the straw if it lands on the floor and rests on the straw. Going to keep, but also going to try some others.

The straw is difficult to clean. I just realized that goop from shakes is remaining stuck in the straw, so you can imagine bacteria would grow easily. You have to blow on the straw to get all the liquid out. I threw these all away and will look for another option.

This straw cup has worked great for my 2-yr old since 1 year old, and it continues to be the favorite. I recommended it to a friend of a toddler, and it has been very well received. My toddler takes it to bed every night and clutches it while walking around in the morning.

If you assemble it properly, it's easy to suck out the liquid. It is not super easy to clean (meaning you have to disassemble it completely, which we do every time), but our toddler only drinks water from it, so we're not trying to clean out sticky juice. The opening is wide, so we add ice a lot, which our toddler loves.

It does not leak if you turn it over, knock it over, etc., however, you can overfill it, which overwhelms the valve, and it will leak a little. Also, only if full, it does leak as the liquid warms (as I mentioned, we use ice a lot), and the pressure inside the bottle rises, pushing the liquid out of the valve.

Salient takeaways: Don't overfill it (but you can fill it to the top), do disassemble to clean, do assemble properly, great sippy for toddlers.

I've been in search for a good sippy cup for my 2 year old for months. I've used a total of 6 different styles and this is hands down the best cup I've come across. The problems I've experienced the most are 1) straws that allow liquid to set inside the straw and overflow and 2) portability. This cup solved both those problems. It's properly pressurized and is a dream to take on the go.

The only downfall is loading the straw into the lid. It takes a little bit of skill and patience, but once you get the hang of it, you're looking at about a 20 second construction time.

I'd prefer to deal with a complicated straw over a leaky cup any day!!!

My youngest started using this at 1 year old and it's great for his little hands. He can open up and close it on his own which I cannot say the same for other cups. Best of it is the price. I can afford to have 2 or 3 of them around and change new ones every few months.

This is the best cup for a toddler that likes to bite on straws. These are very durable cups and I would recommend them to anyone.

We have tried pretty much every brand & style of sippy cup out there. My daughter (who is now 14 months) has preferred a straw since she was about 8 months old, and I have searched high and low for a good straw sippy cup. Every single other type I've tried leaks.
These can be tricky to put together, but the trick is to push the bottom part of the straw into the top part and then twist as much as you can so that they cannot be any closer. As long as you do this, they are easy to drink out of and do not leak!

These are great straw cups. I have a young toddler and transitioned from bottles to sippy cups and straw cups. I've have no leaks and cups are easy to assemble/disassemble and clean. The valve that makes them leak-proof was hard for my litle guy at first, but I taught him how to use a straw in regular cups first and once he got the hang of it, he had no problem with these cups. I've been really happy with this purchase.

Imagine this...kids waiting to drink out of their new fancy sippy cup and when they get it in their hands nothing comes out of the straw. Who designed this? Clearly they don't have children. It is so difficult to suck any drink through the straw that the kids are frustrated and crying with sore cheeks by the time they get a drip. Clearly the manufacturer doesn't have kids or a thorough quality check process.

WASTE OF MONEY!!!

These straw cups are awesome! I don't understand why there are bad reviews about this cup. It's not difficult to assemble at all, it doesn't leak, and my son has no problem using it. If it wasn't for this cup, my son would probably still be on a bottle!!! It's the only sippy cup he will take!

if you take out the straw to wash it, good luck getting it back in. I spent almost 1/2 hour on one straw and then it popped out. I think i need a phD to figure it out.

These cups work better than any other we've tried. I don't think people who gave negative reviews read the instructions on how to disassemble and reassemble the cup properly, or that before the first use you have to squeeze the straw to open the valve. The only negative is that it does leak a bit when my daughter tips it upside down and shakes it, but other than that I have no complaints, I'm buying more.
