My son took to this straw on the first use and I love how the straw is covered which is a must for my son's daycare facility. The spot to insert the name label is a really nice touch. First time disassembly and reassembly is tricky but read the instructions carefully and make sure you "activate" the cup before first use or your LO won't be able to get out any liquid. For what it's worth, the design I received is a cow with a soccer ball, not the dog pictured. Super cute.

I loved this product when we travel because I didn't have to worry about leaks in the rental car, hotel, or restaurants. The retractable straw is great also which helps in keeping clean when not being used. However there are multiple parts to clean.
