The surface is like butter - super slippery and doesn't stay in place on any kind of floor surface. Wish I had read the reviews before buying and investing my time in this mat. It is unbelieveable that this product is sold.

I liked how it did do the job it claims to do, which is protect your floor from messy kids. Unfortuantely, it gets dingy looking and will not stay flat. Mine rolled on the edges and it was hard to keep the tables and chairs looking nice because this mat would bunch up like crazy underneath. If your looking for something cheap to protect your floors for a short time, this product will work but I will be investing my money into a better product.

You will kill yourself on this mat. I have a cork floor. When I stepped onto the mat it was so very slippery, I almost fell every time. There is no way that I can figure to minimize the safety hazard this mat poses. I tried to use this mat on 3 separate occasions but felt too unsafe. I think it will be slippery on all floor surfaces.

Awful product. It does not stay in place. It is clear so it is hard to see crumbs. It was totally useless and a waste of money.

Unfortunately this mat does not have any gripping abilities... so it bunches up! I was very disappointed at how thin the material is! Not at all what I expected.

It's a good size and very cute! I wish it came with a carrying case, other than that it's perfect for us.

TERRIBLE PRODUCT. We have a normal kitchen floor, but putting this mat down under the high chair it turned the floor as slippery as a hosed-off ice rink. The first time my son walked onto the mat, he immediately slipped and fell hard. I thought it was him being a toddler, but then I walked on it, and I immediately fell hard. I bent to feel it, and just touching it, my hand slipped and I had to catch myself. Since I love my son and don't want him to have concussions at dinner every night, I threw it out at once.
