I have an elongated seat but otherwise it is standard and this wasn't able to attach to the seat. we tried sitting it on top of the seat without being secured and it seems like the hole is too small...I'm new to potty training but he seemed to be seating on it correctly but he did not sit under the splash guard.

This seat was very disappointing.
Once assembled, it prevented the toilet lid from closing or putting the adult toilet seat up. It would not stay up, so any adult using the toilet would have it resting on their back.
