I use this on my closet doors and it works great for keeping my toddler out of there. And I don't have to worry about him pinching his fingers. Some babyproofing products are difficult for even adults, but not this one. Super easy!

These are great! I did not need the shim pieces that came with it because it was already the perfect width for my closet doors. Also I love the fact that they are clear, it's not such an obvious eyesore.

I purchased several of these to use on the bi-fold doors we have. Complete disappointment. It does not fit securely and easily falls out of place with the slightest pressure or jiggle on the doors. A complete waste of money!

I love this product I ordered 2 and couldn't figure out how to apply them until I figured out you don't need the white piece that comes with it unless you have more space in between your closet door its an extra piece. It did the trick to keep my 15 month old out of his bedroom closet though!

I PURCHASED 7 OF THE DOOR LOCKS BY MOMMYS HELPER, WHAT A JOKE. ALL MY DOORS ARE A STANDARD 6 PANEL HOLLOW CORE DOOR 1"3/8 THICK. NOT ONE OF THESE LOCKS SLIDE LEFT TO RIGHT EASILY!! FORGET USING THE WAND!! THE REASON I PURCHASED THESE WERE TO HELP MY 1 YEAR OLD STOP PINCHING HIS FINGERS AND FOR HIS SISTER TO STOP OPENING THEM. MEASURE THE THICKNESS OF YOUR BI-FOLDS AND IF THERE 1"3/8 OR BIGGER DON'T BOTHER GETTING THEM,MEASUREMENTS DON'T LIE!! YES THE LOCKS COME WITH A SHIM BUT YOU WILL NOT NEED THEM INLESS YOUR DOOR IS EXTREMELY SMALL!! AS A FATHER OF 2 AND A CARPENTER BY TRADE MY OPINION IS TO STAY AWAY!!

This item works very well but I had to make some modifications to my door first. I have read reviews on other sites from people with mtal doors, stating difficulties making this lock work. My doors are metal and have a 1" lip inside the top of the door. When I first installed it it just popped off as soon as any pressure was applied to open the door. I screwed some 1" x 1" lengths of wood into the top ledge of the door and it now works great, and the wood is not visible from the front of the door. I have attached a picture to illustrate what I did for other potential buyers. I would recommend this lock even though I had to make modifications, as it has saved me a lot of headaches in my 3 year old sons room, no more piles of clothes ripped from hangers.
