Comments about Original Wrap - Black:

My LO is 3 weeks and needs to be held sometimes in order to calm down from being fussy. The Moby wrap frees my hands so that I can still get some stuff done.

I found the instructions easy to follow and had no problem getting LO in and out the first time I tried.

LO tends to get warm since she is close to my body. Since I only wear this around the house, I strip her down to her diaper before putting in the wrap. Once she gets bigger and can go out in public, I plan to use this while grocery shopping - except I'll have to dress her in lightweight clothing. :)

Comments about Original Wrap - Black:

My son is 7 weeks old now. I admit when I first got it, I was intimated by all the fabric and considered returning it, but I tried it again and it's a real life saver. Sometimes baby is crying and this is the only thing that will calm him down and it puts him to sleep (but I think a lot of carriers do that just because the baby is close to you).

Don't be intimdated by the fabric! It's actually not that difficult once you try it once or twice. It's 4 basic steps to wrap and you can learn it quickly. It's great if I want to be hands free or if I just want the baby near me. I would recommend this.

            There a couple of cons:
            1. Bulky for storage/packing
            2. Can get hot
            3. Not something you can just stick your baby in - in other words, you probably want to plan on having it on for more than 5 minutes.

Comments about Original Wrap - Black:

I'm convinced this product must be a joke. I know lots of people love this wrap, but I remain puzzled. I practiced getting this right for about a week before giving up. I have a newborn. I don't have time to figure out how to wrap this around myself. It's just not practical. I passed another new mom in the park the other evening and she didn't seem to be having much more luck than I did. I watched her hand the baby off to a friend and then spend several minutes trying to rewrap. She was still rewrapping when I moved on to a different part of the park. No idea whether she ever got it. Make things easier on yourself, get a Baby K'tan or a spring for a carrier like an ERGO or a Beco. Not only is the wrapping an impractical chore, this would be very hot to wear in warm weather. Just wearing it around my house was uncomfortable. You're essentially adding three layers of unbreathable fabric to you and your baby. Ick.

Comments about Original Wrap - Moss:

I bought this for use with second child when he was about 8 weeks old. I wish I would have gotten right away. He fell asleep shortly after getting in, and at 6mo old he is still comfortable in it to fall asleep especially if he's having a rough time (teething). The lactation nurse at the hospital showed us various other ways to wear baby facing outwards other than what's in booklet. Our older son is stil under the weight limit and he sometimes gets jealous when baby in it so we can put him in there and its still surprisingly comfotable. Only con is fabric can be very warm in summer, we lived in Phoenix when baby born and even in air conditioning the baby got warm fast. We just kept him in onesie. But now that its cooler the warm fabric is nice

Comments about Original Wrap - Black:

I knew I wanted to wear my baby and I spent a lot of time researching the best wraps/slings/carriers. The Moby wrap is by far the most comfortable. My daughter is fussy at times and all out screaming at times and when I wear her in this within just a minute or two she's calm and then falls asleep! This is the way to go if you are wanting to wear your baby and still be hands free. I can bend down, run to the phone, make dinner, talk on my cell phone, load up the car with groceries etc. all while wearing my Moby wrap! It's a lifesaver.
My daughter is 9 weeks old and we have traveled extensively in planes, trains and automobiles since day 4; so I have some pros and cons when it comes to travel.
                  PROS:
                  1. It's by far better than a car seat when you're walking everywhere, you don't have to find an elevator, you can carry/eat/function without worrying about if the stroller will fit at a table etc.
                  2. LESS CRYING, MORE SLEEPING. This is important with our little ones, when they get over tired they fuss and this wrap keeps them comfy cozy LONGER.
                  3. I get a lot of positive comments from strangers about how important it is to wear your baby and that more parents should!
                  4. Easy to use, once you watch a couple of you tube videos you can wrap yourself and your baby in about 90 seconds.
                  5. Molds to baby but still supportive. A newborn doesn't sit upright at first and their head isn't always in the straightest position, the other carriers force the babies' head to stay in one position which isn't natural.

                  CONS:
                  1. a bit bulky to pack, it's A LOT of fabric
                  2. Not the easiest to put on if you don't have a lot of room or don't want it to touch the floor/ground.
                  3. If you live in warm climate you and your baby will get hot if you don't stay in the shade or find shade every now and again. The fabric isn't thick but it isn't mesh and can really heat up.

Comments about Original Wrap - Black:

The Moby wrap is something I wish I would have gotten when my son was first born. I got it when he was about 5 weeks and absolutely LOVE it. I can wrap it in about 30 seconds or less, so even if my husband isn't around to hold the baby, I can put him in his bouncer while I wrap it. It's NOT difficult to get him in the wrap AT ALL (another review complained of this). There are very clear instructions of multiple different ways to wrap the baby that both come with the wrp and are available on the Moby website. You can wrap facing you with legs in or legs out or with baby facing out once they can support their own head. There are even wrapping instructions for dads! I haven't had ANY problems wrapping this before going to the store and putting baby in while in the store. It doesn't shift positions (although it might if you have it wrapped incorrectly) during the car ride... and I get a lot more attention with my son the the wrap than I do with him in the car seat sitting in the cart. This is a great product!

Comments about Original Wrap - Black:

I used the Moby wrap a couple of times when my daughter was first born. The instructions are clear, so I didn't have any trouble figuring out how it was supposed to work, but I needed to put my daughter down and use both hands in order to get it wrapped properly, and then have my husband help me wedge her in. Also, there is so much fabric to wrap that it was nearly impossible to get it wrapped around me without having the fabric drag all over the floor - not so bad when I just wanted to use it in my own home, but not great when I tried to use it at the grocery store. (Wrapping it at home and then trying to just put the baby in at the store didn't work - it got all baggy and shifted around during the car ride.) That being said, it worked well once it was assembled and my daughter was in... as long as she was asleep. She didn't like being confined in it when awake. I ended up buying a Baby Bjorn carrier and have been extremely pleased with it - it's so easy and quick to sling over my shoulders and clip baby in. Also, the Moby wrap does not give any instruction for forward-facing carrying. As soon as my daughter was able to hold her head up she's been happiest facing out. For my money, the Baby Bjorn is definitely the way to go.
