Perfect size for a lovey...I don't worry about it covering my son's face while he is sleeping. When I lay him down to sleep, I show him the lovey, he gets very excited, grabs it and starts sucking on it's ear or his face!

I just wanted to update my review (see below, I think). We bought 2 of these for my DS because he LOVES them. He now knows the it's bed/nap time whenever he gets "lovie" and he holds him while we read stories. He find him talking to lovie most days when he wakes from overnight or napping. Lovie got so grubby (my son has reflux), that I finally took the chance and threw him in the washer and dryer. To my (and DS's) delight, Lovie looked brand new. We've done this several times now and he's holding up just fine. Now I can say this is a perfect lovie!

I got this lovie for my 3 month old son and he LOVES it. He's at a stage where he's just starting to make associations between objects and activities. I got this hoping it would be comforting to him when I am away. Yes, it is small, but that's what I look for in a lovie. It is the perfect size for him to have between us as he nurses or is rocked to sleep. It's small enough that I don't worry about it being a big SIDs risk in his crib. He likes to suck on its ears and face, so I love that it is organic. I wish it was machine washable (would have made it 5 stars) rather than just surface washable. I realize that's a tall order for something with a stuffed head though.

It wasn't love at first sight. But when he was having trouble sleeping in his crib, my husband and I wore this and I nursed him while I placed the organic lovey monkey between us. It took a few days, but now every morning my son has his arm around his beloved monkey "talking" to him. He always cuddles him while he sleeps. The fact that its organic makes me sleep better at night. This is the best lovey out there!

This is perfect if you are looking for a lovie for your child. My son absolutely loves this! He cuddles with it every night before going to bed. It's also organic... doesn't get much better than that! It is on the small side, but it's supposed to be and that eases my mind about letting him have it at night with him. I would totally recommend this!

To reviewers complaining about the size of this product - it is described as a lovey-blankie, not a blanket. Besides, who would expect to get a full-sized organic cotton blanket for [$]?! Baby-sized organic cotton hooded bath towels cost nearly 3 times that...That said, my son has several MiYim products, including this monkey, the giraffe lovey, and the bear and chicken rattles. He loves them all, but especially the monkey. The knots at the three corners of the blankie are perfect for chewing on - when other teethers may be too hard or awkwardly shaped. It is a comfort to know that something that spends so much time in his mouth is free from artificial dyes, harsh chemicals, etc.

We bought this for our DS who is not here yet. It only received 4 out of 5 stars because it is on the small side but other than that it's perfect! This will be his one and only lovey and it's so soft and snuggly. The fact that it's organic and there are no fuzzies or unsafe threads, ribbons, etc. on it make me feel better. I like that there are the 3 knots on the lovey- I don't recommend unknotting them; even when you wash it. I think our DS will find the knots comforting as there is texture there and like at taggies blanket the extra material to touch.

i got our "blanket" in today and its smaller that a plate and has 3 big knots in it that if you take out it has 3 thick strands of material. the only nice thing about it, is that it is very soft.
