Comments about Stamp and Sort Mailbox:

My son thinks this toy is great, and he has fun pretending to be a postman.
I do think that this product does not match the quality of the many Melissa and Doug products I have purchased in the past.

The paint on the yellow round lock was chipped upon delivery, so I requested an exchange. The next one that came had similar chips so I just kept it. The fake envelopes had some text that was faded from a bad print job. The mailbox on the back had this big splotch of uneven paint with what looked like dried cardboard (or something paper-ish) stuck to it.

Dear Melissa & Doug, just because your products are wood, doesn't mean that the rest of it can be just slapped together. I've never encountered this decline in quality with many of your wood toy competitors. Hopefully, this changes.

Comments about Stamp and Sort Mailbox:

Melissa & Doug always make good quality toys. This mailbox entertains both of my little ones (1 & 4). It would also be a good gift to give. A good toy that doesn't require batteries is always a winner!

Comments about Stamp and Sort Mailbox:

I saw this mailbox and had to have it. Thought my 2.5 year old son would have fun attaching the stamps and sorting the letters, but here it sits. totally untouched after months. He has zero interest in it. I'm giving it 4 stars because I think the toy is fun and I enjoy playing with it, lol! I can only hope that my 6 mo. old will love it as much as I do one day.

I bought this for my son for upcoming Christmas 2011. He will be 22 months in December. It arrived and although I said I would leave it in its box, after setting my eyes on it, I just had to open it. I played with it for the longest time! It is all wood, even the mail and stamps and super well made. It is definitely heirloom quality, which you can always count on with Melissa and Doug products. I Love it and you should buy it too! The price is a steal too for such a quality product! I would have paid more! ;)
