        Comments about Magnetic Wooden Alphabet:

These are much nicer than the junky plastic options. For starters, they are not small enough for my toddler to fit entirely in his mouth, which is a big plus! It's also nice to have the lowercase letters. I put words or a sentence on the fridge when my older son isn't around, and then wait for him to discover it. He's always excited to realize he can read it, and then he is inspired to leave a message for me in return. These also have stronger magnets than the plastic version. I would love for Melissa & Doug to switch up their color scheme, but at least these include green and yellow, so that helps. How about some orange, purple, turquoise, etc. to liven things up?!

        Comments about Magnetic Wooden Alphabet:

I really love Melissa and Doug. They make such simply usable toys and seem to be trying to avoid lots of overuse of plastic. These magnets are great...they keep my 14-month old daughter busy in the kitchen, and my husband and I spell out messages to each other :) I imagine that when she is a bit older we can start working on forming words. Note that the letters can wear if the kid chews on them.
