This is a cute hand-crafted wood puzzle, but the knobs on 2 of the peices were loose and we had to tighten them. It was not a big deal to us since I ordered it for my kid, but I would not give as a gift to someone else for that reason.

Craftmanship is great. Very colorful and the large round pegs allow my 16 month grandaughter to grasp and pull out puzzle with ease. She also like clanging the puzzles together and then placing them back into place.

We loved sitting on the floor playing with this puzzle, He is only 8 months so he's working on the concept of a puzzle, so slamming the pieces in was very common at first, he shows interest in it, and i am happy with very very fine quality toys from Melissa and Doug!

I bought this for my 10 month old son, to work on his fine motor skills. He was immediately interested and was able to grab the pieces since they have sizable knobs. However, since he is teething he, of course, chewed on the piece he picked up. The edges where the pictures are immediately started to peel, as if they were made with flimsy paper. Long and short, this is a good puzzle for a baby who has stopped chewing on things, but not before (although by that age a more advanced puzzle would probably be more appropriate)...

I bought this as a gift for a one-year old. It looks like it is very well constructed. The graphics are very cute and brightly colored. I'm sure he will love it!

Our daughter was around 18 months old when we got her this puzzle. She was a little frustrated with it at first but soon enough she was fitting the pieces in, having fun with it and clapping.

My 15-month-old loves this puzzle. She is a little too young to put the pieces back where they belong but she always hands them to me to do it. She also loves banging two pieces together. Since they have knobs on them, she doesn't smash her fingers!

I love Melissa and Doug puzzles. We have a few of them, but this was the first one we bought. We bought this for my daughter a few months before her first birthday. She started playing with it right away and it was neat to see over a few months how her brain was working to get the pieces to fit in the puzzle! The knobs are very nice for young toddlers!!
