This says 2+ but my 9 month old got it for Christmas (at 7 months) and he LOVES it! Obviously he can't put the puzzle pieces back in but he loves pulling them out. It's surprisingly one of his favorite toys. I need to get more!

This is a great way to start young toddlers on doing puzzles. They can practice matching pictures (which appear behind the spot for each puzzle piece) and hand-eye coordination. Big, chunky pieces are good for little hands, and can even be played with separately as farm animal figures.

This puzzle is really nice. The colors are great as well as the pictures. The pieces seem durable even after being thrown or pounded on the ground. Not a scratch on them! The only thing is I wish the area each piece fits in was a little deeper. Other than that, a great puzzle.

I love this puzzle! The animals are so cute and the puzzle is high quality, has withstood my preschooler and also my toddler occasionally trying to eat the pieces. My daughter received it as a gift so I purchased this one for a gift because I loved it so much. Now that she's older, it's really easy but we'll play I Spy with it and she loves it! My 1 year old is just getting beginning to become interested.

We received this as a gift from a friend and found this to be better than the other puzzles we have. Our daughter loves this puzzle. She still looks at the other MD p's we have, but these are easier to manage and therefore less frustrating for a toddler.

My 3.5 y.o. loves puzzles and the Melissa & Doug chunky puzzles were early favorites. Now my 1 y.o. is enjoying them. She loves taking the pieces out and banging them together, and with a little help, is starting to figure out how to fit them back in. The price is right and the quality is good - I highly recommend all the chunky puzzles.
