I really like Melissa & Doug products, and this one did not disappoint. It is colorful and cute, with big knobs that make it easy for small hands to grab. My son is 10 months old now, and I think that he won't quite understand how to work the puzzle yet, but eventually he will. And in the meantime, he can grab onto the puzzle pieces and look at the animals and shapes. It is very well made and I'm quite pleased with this product. I even bought two others for gifts.

This product was breaking the first time my twins were playing with it. I glued it now for 3 times and gave up. The other puzzles of Melissa & Doug seems from a better quality, the pieces are not glued together.

I bought this for our daughter when she was 13 months...she loves it and still uses it at 18 months. She enjoys identifying the animals and making their sounds. I "quiz" her and tell her to bring me a certain animal from the puzzle..she loves that! Great first puzzle, very colorful and well made.

we got this for my daughters' 1 year bday and she loves it. its a simple puzzle, just 3 animals but its plenty for a 12mo+ to grasp and learn. she is 15mos, and now she's learning to make the sounds and she still loves sucking on the pieces.

everything is sanded quite well, so i dont worry about her getting splinters. i love the colors and design. Simple yet Educational.

This was my daughter's first puzzle and she was (at 9? months) facinated with it. It was wasy for her to grab and turn peices into place and helped her to learn her first animal pictures and sounds. At 18 months she still plays with it occasionally, so I feel we got our money's worth.
