Comments about Tendercare Lanolin Nipple Cream - 2 oz:

OK so this product I would not recommend for nipple treatment it has a yellow tint that makes your nipples messy, its tough to clean and you have to clean every time you pump or breastfeed, it has other ingredients in it that I don't like. I ended up using it as a diaper rash cream like A&D but I would not use it for breastfeeding.

Comments about Tendercare Lanolin Nipple Cream - 2 oz:

I was given Lanisoh cream as a gift, and then got this Medela cream while in the hospital, and I much preferred the Medela cream, and always kept it in stock as long as I was nursing. The Medela cream was very smooth and easy to apply, whereas the other stuff was really thick and uncomfortable. I applied the cream before pumping, which I did about eleventy-billion times a day for a while (to increase my milk supply), as well as breastfeeding my twins. I never had any issues with breast pain or cracking or anything (which was probably also luck). I've given this cream to my sisters who've had babies since, as well.

Comments about Tendercare Lanolin Nipple Cream - 2 oz:

Awful lanolin. Lansinoh's is way better and even the organic, lanolin-free alternatives I've tried are better, though messy. I almost have to step on the tube of this to get any out - it is so hard, even though new! Works fine, but beyond difficulty getting it out of the tube, the last thing a sore nipple needs is extra rubbing to apply this.

Comments about Tendercare Lanolin Nipple Cream - 2 oz:

I have tried Lasinoh and the Medela lanolin. The Medela takes preference for me because of the cheaper price and smoother application. (Lasinoh is much thicker and harder to spread.) I have heard some women have trouble getting Medela lanolin to spread smoothly, but in all cases, it was due to the cool environment they were storing their lanolin in. As I have sensitive skin and skin allergies, I found nursing painful and irritating in many ways at first. Medela lanolin really helped me by soothing the soreness and healing my skin. Lanolin is safe for baby's to digest, so there's no extra washing required before nursing which would further aggravate your soreness. I would recommend first-time nursing moms to wash thoroughly after each time nursing with warm water and a very mild soap to kill any potential bacteria that could cause yeast infections. Let yourself air dry for a little while before applying the lanolin or putting on a bra. This will keep your skin healthy and ready for baby's next meal. Don't go without the lanolin! It will save you from some nasty cracking. Medela lanolin is yellowish in color and may leave a slightly yellowish residue on your bra or nursing pads, but I have found it easily comes out in the wash. Even if it didn't, the relief is worth an unseen stain! (I would recommend using Lasinoh disposable soothie nursing pads your first couple days nursing--they were a lifesaver for me along with the lanolin!)
