My mom purchased this doll for my daughter for her first birthday two years ago and we LOVE it. The nicest thing about this doll is that she is completely soft. There is no hard plastic head. My daughter can sleep with her at night comfortably and run around the house with her and we don't have to worry about a hard head hurting her. Additionally, you can WASH this doll!!! I have thrown her in the washing machine so many times and she comes out looking fantastic. Stella comes with a magnetic pacifier that "sticks" to her mouth which is adorable. Her bottom is slightly weighted somehow so that she can and does sit upright on her own, but isn't heavy to little ones to carry. Overall, this is a great quality product. We have purchased almost all the accessories and two additional Stella dolls..the blonde and the baby boy. This is the type of doll that you don't need to keep replacing. It will last a very long time and since it is so washable, I don't care where my daughter takes it.
