This bed is perfect! It's absolutely adorable. My son loves it. He really likes the reading lamps that are attached. They have timers that turn off after about 10 minutes. That was a bonus feature we didn't realize it would have.

We got this bed for my 22 month old son. He loves the "fun" aspect of the bed. We like the pirate them; we like the sides of the ship which act as a way to keep him in the bed without a guady net thing. We love the pirate flag but hated that Little Tikes was so big on it so we had a custom one made exactly like it. Overall, no complates about the product. Our son loves how the lights turn off/on. Note to parents: the two little lights stay on for 2 minutes and shut off and the big light stays on for 10 minutes and then shuts off.
Only negative thing about this little tikes product was that we were missing 17 pieces! We received the frame but had to show it to our son with the mast, cannon/steering wheel; lights or cannons because we were missing all of the above. After a much to do, Little Tikes shipped the parts to us via 2-day air rather than the normal 5 business days. Really disappointed in the this part of the bed. This is the 2nd time we have had this issue with Little Tikes. The first time was Christmas Eve (aka Santa) so I recommend that you give yourself time to make sure you have everything.

We used this bed to transition our 20 month old out of his crib. He didn't have any particular interest in boats but LOVES this bed anyway. It was easy to put together (but did take a bit of time) with all the parts. We didn't notice the reading and lantern lights when we ordered it but our toddler did and he loves those too - they turn off on timers so they aren't on all night. A much more unique and better looking toddler bed than the others on the market now.
