This is small and easy to move to exactly where you need it, unlike other pillows I have used. Very soft, flannel cover, which washes up easily. It is imperative to have a firm pillow when nursing otherwise baby's weight is not properly supported by the pillow and you may as well just go without. This pillow is firm, but I wish it had the scooped out foam to accomodate baby's head and the foam bump to support baby's neck like the pricier firm foam brand has. That one is double the price though and is almost impossible to wrap around you while nursing, so this handy little pillow is much better in that regard and much less expensive.

This pillow is much better than using a boppy for breastfeeding, a boppy is rounded and makes the baby roll in towards you which can be awkward, this pillow is flat and also a bit taller than a boppy and lift the baby to the perfect height for breastfeeding. its lightweight too, and the zippered cover comes off easily for washing though i do wish it was made of a different material than flannel since flannel tends to pill after washings.

all in all i love this pillow and cant stop raving about it to everyone i know. even the nurses at the hospital were intrigued! :)
