Comments about The Very Hungry Caterpillar Soft Book:

This is the first toy my son showed any interest in and it's still his favorite at 4 months.

This soft book is popular with 9 month olds as well. I know this because today a 9 month old wrestled it from my 4 month old's hands and proceeded to chew on the teething strawberry and wipe snot on its pages. Needless to say I washed it as soon was we got home and it looks like it's never been washed! Great quality.

I was a little surprised when I got it being a new mom and not realizing that soft books are not simply soft versions of real books (i.e. just a few words, not as many pages.) However, this is a great toy for independent use- he loves playing with the leaf and the butterfly wings that stick out of the pages.

Of all the soft books out there, I honestly think this is the best one. The book is high contrast, dimensional and crinkly.
